And putting a 10mill per pound clause in will make sure he makes 147.

If the clause works both ways what's the big deal???
It just ensures that we the fans get to see 2 guys fighting under agreed terms with no-one coming in overweight.

Again, the clause works both ways so what's the problem?

It's simple, Mayweather comes in at whatever weight he wants, he dont give a ****! When a fighters normally misses the weight he get a penalty, so why shouldnt Mayweather??:nut
Pacman is doing the right thing. looking out for himself, **** Gayweather :happy

The problem is 10 million dollars. Thats out of line to say the least. So how about this, if Pacquiao come back positive in the drugtest then he should pay Mayweather all of his money since the drugtest is more illegal then a weigh in correct? I think thats what Mayweather people should do.

I have no problem with drug testing Pac, and if he's positive, **** him, give Mayweather 100%.

So what would you say is a reasonable fine then Ray? Cause Mayweather ain't going to give a **** about 1mil per pound that's for sure.

If $10M is foolish, what do you think is the correct amount? $300,000 per pound?

Whats wrong with 1 mil? didnt Pacman have these same demands in the Oscar fight right...so why try to change it now?

Dont get me wrong...I'm for penalties if you cant meet your demands as a pro fighter...But the same exact thing should apply for anybody...If Floyd agrees to that, then Manny shouldnt have no problem taking a blood test...Again, fair is fair.

Whatever it takes to make this fight a real fight ( unlike mayweather marquez ) I'm down for whatever. dudes wanting drug testing, dudes wanting 10 mil per pound. Bring it on

Whats wrong with 1mil is the fact that either guy is so wealthy 1mil ain't that much. Maybe in the 70's sure but by today's standards either fighter could come in 3-5lbs over weight and financially 3-5 million isn't hitting their bank balance hard enough. 30-50 million on the other hand is a good sum assuming they're both walking away with 30-40 million+ each.

I think with $1M penalty, Pacquiao will just choose to call off the fight immediately IF Floyd comes in overweight. With $10M, Pacquiao will have second thoughts. Same conditions apply to Floyd if Pacquiao comes in overweight.

It's really hard to argue against random, accurate testing in ANY sport. Boxing is about a bunch of independent contractors which makes that very difficult. A while back someone posted that they suspected the guy in your avatar was up to something because of the way his old men, Bhop and Mosely, seemed to have found the fountain of youth. Testing exonerates as well as catches. But like I said, it would be tough in boxing. Too many commissions, etc.

Thats not the point...He asked Oscar to pay 1 mil per lbs he was over 147...Only thing I'm asking is why is asking for so much with Floyd...If thats the case, shouldnt he asked for the same with Oscar as well?

All I'm saying is be consistant with what you ask...I understand that its probably nothing to them...That was not my point...I was just simply asking why the change now??? thats all!:good

This fight is about legacy more than money. In this fight it might be worth the $2 mill to gain a 2 lb advantage. That said, I think both make weight for this fight. Mayweather just made it recently. I think he misjudged. Bodies change as you get older and he had been out for a while.
