there's plenty of excuses if Pac loses to Hatton....too many to list.

Why should Pac rush into a fight with Hatton? Cause Hatton's on borrowed time.

If this fight happens in England..win/lose Pac is going into the mouth of a lion.

Too bad Amir Khan isn't a household name yet.

Dream Scenario: Beat up David Diaz. Name a province in Mexico after Pacquiao. Beat up Amir Khan and call out Ricky Hatton....lose and Retire 20 million dollars richer.

You can't makes excuses if you continuously make posts and threads saying Hatton is ducking Pacquiao and Pacquiao will KO Hatton. That's just silly. (Not you of course, you are not making such threads)

Hatton perhaps wants to make pac as his tune up fight against PBF? i think Hatton will make more $$$ fighting pac than any of those boxers you mentioned except for pbf? ..what do you think?

He would. But look at Hatton. Listen to him talk. That dude wants money, but not at the expense of his legacy.

The 2 fighters I mentioned get him unification at 140. He will be 3 time 140lb champion. He may prize that over a lose/lose situation with fighting Pacquiao. If he beats Pacquiao, but not convincingly, he looks bad. He has already experienced that before. If he loses, he is screwed and never gets to fight Mayweather. If he wins by KO, he was supposed to, and what was he doing picking on that small guy anyways....See what I mean.

Dude, where did I say that Hatton was ducking Pac?:think

I got em all lined up: Hatton's too big, The ref totally is biased towards Hatton (remember its going to be in England), Pac didn't have his gloves, Pac simply shouldn't have gotten into a fight who is a powerful body puncher, Pac is too fat at 140.

I'm only really interested in Pacquiao's next fight if it's against Juan Manuel Marquez.

Hatton is becoming a circus act.

What's the percentage you have of Hatton losing to Pac? I think Pac has a 30 percent chance at surviving this fight ie getting to the 12th round Pac's gotta fight like SRL (which Roach mentioned that Pac can do if he wants to) Pac will change his tactics once he feels a punch of a 140 pounder. Now remember this fight is going to happen in 2009 at least and IF Pac beats Diaz

DAMN! i don't want to admit it but you are absolutely correct!!! No wonder he is not interested with pac..

Anyway, boxing is sport and a business! I hope some how some where hatton becames interested with pac coz it will surely be a blockbuster fight no matter how slim or big the chance of pac to win.

The stlyes of hatton and pac are equally exiting no doubt about it!

Ok, lets say Pacquiao tries to fight a similar style to SRL.

He can't, because Pacquiao has little power moving backwards because much of his explosiveness comes from his legs and he lacks the upper body movement to do it, but lets say he can.

Hatton has quick hands and feet. Not as fast as Pacquiao mind you, but fast enough to close the gap on fighters. He is not a plodder. Remember, he caught Mayweather a few times early on. If he can hit Mayweather, he can hit Pacquiao no matter how he is fighting.

I give him less than 10% of getting to the 10th round. Hatton has always had decent handspeed and footspeed. I am not suddenly saying this either. If you go pull up the prefight analysis threads for Hatton-Mayweather, you will see I posted it then as well.

If Pacquiao cleans out 135, he could retire as a top tier ATG. I wouldn't risk a fight with Hatton for a few extra million. But it's his career. Hopefully he is not getting bad advice on people looking to cash in on his abilities.

There are two interesting things you mentioned which caugh my attention:
1)PAC has little power moving backwards...he has not perfected it!
    2) Hopefully he is not getting bad advise on people looking to cash in on his abilities

This comment is true irregardless if pac fights hatton or other boxers!

Nevertheless, my instincts is telling me it will happen sometime late 09'.
PAC's popularity is soaring so hight on mid 09' that Hatton will want to have a piece of pac late 09'!

Why would I want to see what I think is a mismatch? I like competitive fights. I like Pacquiao (not much of a Hatton fan though). I think that he should fight Diaz then Campbell or Casamayor, not Hatton. And I think he will seal his legacy with such fights.

PacD thinks I don't want to see the fight due to a lifetime bet I made about it. But that isn't logical. If I was afraid Hatton might lose, I wouldn't have made the bet. (Search my posts, I rarely make bets at all, much less ones of this magnitude) I made the bet BECAUSE I think it's a mismatch and I feel I am assured of winning. However, outside the bet, as a boxing fan, I feel there are better fights out there for both fighters. I have no horse in this race.

Quintana-Williams, Pac-MAB, Donaire-Dachinyan, all a Mismatch but the Big Underdog wins. KG, Pac is a Higher P4P pounder than Hatton. It's just like Mosley jumping up 2 wt classes to beat DLH. Just like Duran jumping up from 135-147 to beat SRL. Pac has the easier assignment coz he'll be fighting a recently Koed victim and Pac has another stepover fight at 135 to adjust himself.
