What I was saying was that if Floyd beat Marquez it will only put more intrigue to a Pac Floyd showdown. The way a fighter wins against the same foes isn't as big a deal as still winning.

But since Pac couldn't tame Marquez, if Floyd manages to do so. I can see a much bigger buildup.

 

If Manny refuses to fight Marquez again in the minds of some boxing afficionados Manny's legacy will be diminished.

Not really. Where Pac ****ed up a bit to me was giving Diaz a cool mil, and then saying Marquez fights for money and not honor when asked about a possible third fight with Marquez. That was a bit sad to read. We all know the Marquez-John story. Marquez wanted a mil in a rematch with Pac(he only received a $100,000 dollar raise), and did not get it, yet later on in his career Pac and Arum gave Diaz a cool mil. Who competed against Pac better, Diaz or Marquez?:nut
