Pac was afraid of May's power, he had been more active, he would have been starched.

Floyd has underrated power, he might hit harder P4P than GGG.

    Yes, KO any man...right buddy

Mayweather's problem isn't the lack of power, his problem is he's afraid to take chances. His fragile knuckles don't do him any favors either.

thats pretty sad a boxer at the level of manny pacquiao would either

    A. have an incompetent team that couldnt check the correct box on a questionaire especially knowing of the injury

    b. would hide an injury to go into a fight of that magnitude at way less than 100 percent and screw us out of a good fight

either way manny loses....oh welp...he already did

Yes, you could see Alvarez being so afraid. He couldn't take them punches, he was actually scared. You could see it in his face.

If Floyd's opponents didn't go into survival mode so often he would have a higher KO ratio :nod

No. He was injured before and worsened it in the 4th round. Like Kellerman said, the display of the two flurries were probably more a display of, "This is all I have left, and it didn't work," rather than, "I'm perfectly fine." Plus, Pacquiao said himself that Mayweather's power wasn't strong and that he wasn't hurt once.

Arum has never gone back on his word in that Pacquiao never injured his shoulder before the fight, so stop making it out as if he did.

Obviously every respects Mayweather's power, it's not great, but it's above average. In Alvarez case, it was too big an event for him. He wasn't prepared for Mayweather or an event like that. He definitely learned a lot in that fight though. How many slick fighters had Canelo fought prior to facing Floyd?

The fact that Canelo continues to significantly improve after every fights supports the notion that Canelo was not ready for the veteran Mayweather who was at his peak, prime at the very least and a long time top P4P level fighter.

Oh give me a break, prime?

He's been out of it since 2009.

Alvarez is not at that level, and never will be. Floyd is a once in a generation type fighter, Alvarez won 1 round and got schooled. The end.

No matter how good you think he's going to get, he will get schooled.

Similar to Chavez/Whitaker. Just two levels of fighter.

Bob said he was 100% going in actually, and it looked 100%. Nothing suggested that it was anything less.

He just looked lost in there, against a defensive marvel. He didn't know what to do and had he not tweaked his shoulder in the 4th missing that big ass flurry, he still wouldn't have won more than 2 rounds.

Just two different levels of fighter.

    Because I'm stating facts!

    And the truth does hurt...

They're two different levels of fighter. It's as simple as that.

I thought you guys go on about how one of Floyd's greatest accolades is his longevity as a champion due to his obsession with staying fit and takes care of his body through hard work and dedication?

So does Floyd have a long prime or not?

Or are you saying he is past his prime, but wins because he fights nothing but c and b level guys and shot fighters?

    So Floyd

Yes it is his longevity, he's able to dominate these men despite being out of his prime. That's the point. He's lost a lot of his physical gifts in the last few years.

His prime was 2001-2009, not 2001>2015.

He's able to dominate A+ level fighters despite being out of his physical prime. It's his mental game that wins these fights.
