Something's telling me that Clottey was asked to slow down in the last rounds. Cotto was right for the picking after the fourth round when Cotto was cut by accidental headbutt.
Yeah, that's definitely the Key. We all know now that Pac still has the speed and power at the higher weights so offensively, he's still as deadly as before. But so far, we still have not seen Pac get cleanly hit at the higher weights so that's still a big ?? as fas as I'm concerned. Cotto looked a bit slow and really tentative, but that could be just because of the cut and because Clottey is pretty big himself so it might be different when he's up against Pac.
Agreed on all points. Cotto has great timing, and he will hit Pac. Can Pac take it? I also felt Cotto did not look so good in this fight. Some of that is definitely Clottey, but I think Cotto may have slipped, slightly, as well. Not a lot, but a little.
I won't be surprised as both fighters belong to the same promotion and Cotto is a highly protected commodity. I won't be surprised if he is picked by Arum to be Pac's last fight. Arum cannot afford to lose Cotto at this time. He's his leverage against Floyd. :deal
You mean the fact he was fighting with one freakin eye man! that could cause any one to slip slightly.
I wouldn't say "destroy" but I would give Cotto the edge. At ESB that makes me a Pac-hater and a Cotto-nuthugger!
Good point, good point. But he didn't look as sharp to me from the beginning. But your man has fighting heart, no denying that. :thumbsup
