That's my prediction too. Pac is just TOO fast for Cotto and will be too powerful as well, just too many fast powerful punches he won't see coming and Cotto can't handle those especially in combination.

Who said pacquiao has the same power of Cotto? I dont think he does but you cant say Pac doesnt have power. if Cotto lands?? thats what they said about DLH and Hatton now of course Cotto is better the him but its not like Cottos defense is way better then Hattons

If you think Cotto is in the same level as a prime Erik Morales you are just crazy or you really have not seen him fight, for what I see you have seen fights of a decline past his best Erik, starting when he fought Manny the 1rst time he wasnt in his prime anymore, still a top fighter but not prime same as manny at that time, he got the decision but he was clearly on his decline, so putting cotto in a same level as erik was once is just not knowing the sport...

Go watch prime erik fights in the late 90s and then you will see what i am talking about, EM was on a different level than Cotto...

How can you guys think that Pacquiao will be able to move up to 145lbs (Cotto will not fight any lower than this) and kill Cotto where he has been fighting for more than two years and is a natural weight for him. And whoever said Pacquiao and Cotto has the same power must be smoking that good ****! First of all, how can anyone tell who has more power than who, if they never fought that person in the 1st place. So that power bull**** is irrevelant. Speed may kill but Cotto is a great counterpuncher and has been through adversity since the Corley fight. Cotto even lasted 11 rounds with Margocheato using plaster of paris in his gloves. To say Cotto has no chance is plain stupidity!! Cotto not only has a puncher's chance but, he also has the skills and experience to beat Pacquiao and even knock his ass out. Anyone who disagrees doesn't **** about boxing and should go watch WWE.

how can a current p4p #1, a 6-weight champ, a 4-time lineal champ, a 2-time FOTY and a top 35 ATG be overrated? pac may already be stretching himself too thin in these higher weight classes. after all, he has fought through 10 weight classes throughout his career from 106 to 147. but he is most certainly not over-rated. he has eaned his rightful status in this sport through sheer hardwork, determination and self-sacrifice. but still the guy remains basically humble, down-to-earth and generous even after all of these accomplishments.

On the first page someone said Manny was as strong as Cotto. I can say clearly that I do not believe Manny has power at the higher weights, to me the is evidenced by his inability or lack of desire to face any quality opponents since moving up to 135 and above, unless they are severely weakend by weight demands.

If Cotto lands Manny will be hurt, simple as that, as for DLH that whole fight was predicated on if DLH could make weight heathily, and we saw during that fight that he didn't. I called Manny KOing Hatton, because the same Hatton could not take out Juan Lazcano and actually got KO'd by him.

Yes Cotto's defense is lightyears ahead of Hatton's at his best.

He can do 145. He was 146 for this last one, were talking one more pound. Cotto even stated he would fight Pac at 145, but not any lower than that.

If he agrees to fight at 145 he doesn't have to move up there. Cotto only needs to move down to there. Pac can come in at 142 if he wants. The catch weight is just to bring his opponent down in weight.

Look at Erik resume and tell me who did he fight besides Barrera and Pacquiao that has any kind of resume? Erik is overrated, he was a beast because he weight drained himself to fight small fighters when he was 5'8 and had a big height and reach advantage. So besides those tell me who? And don't say Carlos Hernandez and Jesus Chavez, they were B level fighters.

At 140-147 Pac takes Cotto. Sure he can cause Pacman problems and possibly even ko him. Thats the beauty of it Pac has came up in weight keeping his speed and power, possibly sacrificing nothing. The only question is his punch resistance.

Given what he's done against Marquez and Morales and all the shots he ate in those fights I'd say its safe to say his beard is solid.

I didn't say it but i will Pac will be the stronger puncher in the fight. Cotto will be physically stronger, but it won't matter. Cause Pac will not wrestle, hug, or hold. He will use his speed and mobility. The same thing any physically gifted smaller athlete would use against a bigger man.
