Watching Cotto train he still has not ajusted his hand placement and will be wide open for the left uppercut just like the Judah fight and Clottey fight have shown. I actually want Cotto to win so PBF would be forced to fight Mosley but I don't see a way Cotto can win. His defense is still wide open and unlike Judah, Pac is not scared to throw punches. Pac KO before round 5 I say TKO 3 :deal This board will be hell with all the *******s jizzing their pants after the fight... I'll have to leave the General Forum for a month to avoid the lunacy.
if cotto wins floyd won't be forced to fight anyone. i'm hoping pac wins because there will be a lot of pressure for him to fight pac - and no excuse that will ring true for floyd.
I'm really unsure. I can't seem to pick a winner for this fight but the only thing I can say is Im slightly leaning towards Cotto. Who does break down smaller fighters pretty good but Pacquaio is so fast and Cotto's chin isn't that great. Possibly it could be one of those, can Cotto handle the storm in the beginning and survive to bring it out past 4/5
I honestly see Pac - PBF as a waste of a fight. Dull like DLH - PBF was. So much hype and failed to deliver. I don't think Pac can reach PBF or hit him with anything significant to win.
yea thats the key if cotto gets past the 4th and 5th rounds its a done deal...pac wont win imo if that happens
Yea. If Cotto gets past the 4th 5th. Although Pacquaio is still a beast, he almost always downshifts a gear, and rarely ever goes back up. Cotto's gotta land body shots early to keep him off him somewhat. Although Pacquaio can probably easily land an overhand left if he tries it. I'm not sure how his straight left will do but an overhand left would land very clean.
I've had two different dreams about this fight this past week. In the first dream, the fight was a draw. The fight was ultra-close, and there were no complaints about the draw outcome. In the second dream, Pac wins via TKO1. Late in the round, he catches Cotto with a straight left and sends him down. Cotto didn't see the punch coming, and is badly hurt. Cotto beats the count and the fight continues, but only momentarily. Pac lands several more clean shots - Cotto can't defend himself - and the ref steps in to stop the fight right at the end of the first round. I've had boxing dreams that have been waaaay off, so I'm not claiming to be Nostradamus or anything.
straight lefts will land clean.. uppercuts will land clean. Counter right hooks also. Cotto's defense is very leaky against a southpaw.
If Cotto wins then Mayweather sure as hell will fight him. Mayweather is inteterested in Cotto, is Cotto interested? According to both Cotto and Pacquiao they ask people to see what their promoter(Bob Arum) wants and we all know what Arum wants. You don't? [yt]yE_tsPatoBU[/yt]
Eh. The way Pac likes to throw that straight left. I'm not sure. If Pac can land the straight left, we won't see many uppercuts.
it will. The way cotto positions himself, he lines himself up perfectly for the striaght left. When he comes in Manny's gonna drill it right into his head.
