I keep seeing rumors about pac supposedly fighting Joshua Clottey instead of Mayweather...

I personally don't think this is a good fight for Pac. All of the strength advantages are gone. Clottey will weigh in at possible 156 to 160 on fight night. Clottey throws combos... and very good uppercuts. Plus he can take a ****in barrage of punches, headbutts, or anything else. Pac's only advantage will be speed and stamina.

Pac will have to fight 12 grueling rounds in what would probably be a clear but close and controversial UD for him. Then there is the outside chance chance that Pac is put to sleep. He gets a lot of credit from me if he steps in the ring with Clottey, because there is clearly very little financial reward compared to the risk involved.

Well, at least no one can claim Pac is ducking black fighters... Cause Clottey's black, Akon-lookin ass definitey qualifies...:good

Well pac prvoed he aint playin when he stepped in the ring with cotto. I remember one of your post sayin "pac dont want none of cotto" or something, then pac preceded to eat him alive. I see clottey frustrating pac, but I believe pac will find a way to win ( just as he has his last few fights ).

Then again clottey might just walk all over pac.

hopefully it pushes thru, It sure beats having to fight Malignaggi:hey

  6. Clottey typically rehydrates closer to 170lbs believe it or not. I also don't think this is a good fight for Pacquiao, but for a different reason entirely - he just beat the guy that beat him. While we can look at the fight now and realize it's a tough challenge for Manny, I think history will just look back at it as Manny fighting a guy coming off a loss.

True but Clottey won that fight in my opinion, similar to the Martinez/PW fight. Watching it and not keeping score, Clottey was clearly the winner as was Martinez. Some rounds were tight and could have gone either way, and in NY at that time, those rounds were given to Cotto. 5 or 6 of the rounds were CLEARLY won by Clottey.

Good fight between Cotto and Clottey regardless and respect to both of those guys.

Clottey is Ghanan by birth... But he lives and trains up in the Bronx.

That qualifies for me. Plus, he ain't agreein' to no bull**** catchweight, or some rehydration clause. He will weigh 160ish (close to 170) according to some people) when he fights.

Pac shouldn't hear **** from anyone.

    Nice Closing !

You're spot on though Clottey is a beast of a Welter and Manny could well be tossed around like a rag doll.

Pac "They say I'm scared of Black fighters, I'll show them. Who is the blackest fighter out there???"

Arum "Well Joshua clottey is basically as black as an oil spill, there is no mistaking him being black"

I agree, Clottey might prove to be just too much for Manny in regards to size and strength. Joshua could possibly wind up becoming the ultimate spoiler. Pac might find a way to win but it will prove to be a grueling fight and it might take a lot out of him.

With that said, there are still members here who would act like Manny is taking the easy way out saying Clottey is tailor made for him...

Extremely dangerous fight. Clottey is a good fighter and I doubt Pac is knocking him out. Clottey's chin is exceptional.

I will quit ESB if Joshua Clottey wins more than 1 round before being knocked out by Pacquiao. The very idea that one-dimensional plodder could live with the Pacman is ****ing laughable. Take up tennis or some **** mate, coz you haven't got a clue about this sport.
