You honestly think Floyd will just wait and wait. FAIL!!! First of all his jab will offset Manny's timing and hand speed. Second you fail to realize that Floyd has a great offense and he can in fight like a mother****er and he will shut Manny out 8 rounds to 4. The last counter puncher/ pure boxer Manny faced was in 2008 the punch stats looked like this. Marquez 172/511 34% connect rate. Pacquiao 157/619 25%. Get over it dude.
WITHOUT A DOUBT IN MY MIND! Floyd impluse is to be defensive and to counter when it's available. Floyd has very good offense when he is countering. Floyd's Jab is good, but it's not a weapon. It's used to set up his pot shots and to control distance. PAC will not have a problem with getting past the jab of Floyd but Floyd will have a problem landing his jab that that will off set Floyd's rythm. Again...you comparing apples to oranges so I understand why you have this warped perception of how things are in reality. JMM was a far better fighter at 130 than he was at 146. And PAC is a lot better at 140 or 147 than he was at 135, 130 or 126. Get over what exactly? I'm trying to help you from embarrassing yourself kid. I can only lead a horse to water....whether or not you choose to drink is up to you.
Mayweather is the better fighter, more skilled, smarter and technical Pacquiao is more exciting End of Story!!
You say you are trying to save me from embarrassing myself and you just sit up here and say the jab is not a weapon when its the key that opens up the ****ing door. Championships have been won off the jab son. You are basing what Manny can do to Floyd off of Manny facing flat footed no defense guys who don't have the same reflexes as Floyd.
Floyd's Jab is NOT a weapon like his counter left or pull, Right hand. His Jab is moreso to set up his counters and to help lay his traps. Jeez... I feel like I'm a teacher or something. Floyd's Jab is NOT like Larry holmes Jab. That mother****er was a weapon. He had a piston like Jab that would **** you up and do it consistantly. Ali's Jab was a weapon...Forman's jab was a weapon. Paulie's jab....Floyd's Jab Not weapons... They score points but they don't do the damage. Floyd is gonna be facing a guy with just as good reflexes who is very hard to hit...and he's gonna have the added obstacles with PAC being a southpaw, with speed and power.
First you say its not a weapon and then you say its used to set up other punches which makes it a weapon. It will offset Manny and keep him guessing. If thats not a weapon then what the hell is it? You must be joking. Hard to hit? Manny gets hit all the time. Or maybe those cuts and bruises appear magically. The point of the thread is Manny's D vs Mayweather's Offense and looking at the poll results you are wrong. :hammertime
Mayweathers the more skilled boxer, hes probably been training against southpaws this whole time. While Pacquiao is fighting against these bums and making half the money mayweather makes every fight. Seems like everytime pacquaio takes a breather or stops the assault the opponent of pacquaio throws a punch it lands most of the time. Mayweathers opponents tries to bull rush or try to outbox him, and hes hard to find, either moving or rolling out. Once your about to go in again, you get tagged over and over..
Floyd can fight effectively on the offense while Manny can't even dodge unless he's countering or when cornered. This doesn't mean that Floyd will definitely win the fight against Pac once he managed to reattach his balls though.
Floyds jab is one of his key punches to his offense. In fact it sets the majority of his offense up. You don't know what the hell you're talking about. I bet you think Cotto has a better jab than Mayweather because he has more power. The jab is not about power you fool.
Pac does have a defense and it's underrated. A lot of people say he's vulnerable to right hands, but the truth he picks most of them off with his glove. He's more vulnerable to jabs then right hands atm. Pac has decent defense when he tries. He has good headmovement, and he can slip punches pretty well. Floyd's offense on a southpaw isn't that great. He's a got a straight right, a counter hook and that's about it. He uses his jab sparingly, and I haven't seen him use it very much at all fighting southpaws.
man **** this ****, why isnt this fight singed ****, :-( this is some bull****, i cant believe this ****in fight hasn't been done yet
