    PacDbest take on Soto-Guzman:

This is Another Fight the is hard to Predict. Currently Guzman was favored by 2-1 odds which I think the oddsmaker underestimating Soto too much. When this fight were made, my thoughts right away was Guzman will take this by UD.

Last night I started reviewing Guzman fights with Jauregui & Barrios, looking for weaknesses & Strength. Guzman is a speedster but he really has no Power behind it. He's hitting Barrios with Flush shots but Barrios head barely snapped. Guzman is good counter puncher but he is also Hittable, he is no Mayweather. Guzman's main weapon is his Rapid Left hook & some counter Right hook. But he is No straight Puncher which is Soto exactly was.

Soto has gone 21-0 since he was beaten by Kelly by MD. I've seen that fight & taped it. As far as I remember it could go either way, all rounds are close rds. The Soto I saw there is a Different Soto than what I'm seeing in his recent fights. The new Soto is a Commited attacker & an aggressive fighter now. Soto has a Good jab, Powerful Straight Right hand, Power Left hook, & the left hook to the body that KOed Bob-pac.

Soto is younger & has the longer Arms 24" compare to Guzzy's 23". Guzman is the Faster & craftier Fighter but he's also the Older guy. Guzman also are Prone to injury especially with his brittle hand. Experience wise Soto has the edge. He's already fighting world class since 2002 with Kevin Kelly. His best wins arre against Juarez who has win against MAB in my book. He fought & beat mostly 126-130 guys.

Most of Guzman's impressive wins are from 122 wt class. Recently at 126-130 he can't dent anybody's chin. His best wins are against Sanchez who just just came off 2 yr semi retirement & the other Against Barrios where he's impressive in the 1st 2 rds & then Fade away in the later rds. Compare that to Soto's string of KNockouts againts 130 pounders. Guzman's last KO is against Sanchez eons ago at 122 lbs. He's supposed to KO his tune fight with Davis. He even pomised a knockout then he ends up Uglier than Davis after the fight.

My pick on this fight is an Upset KO by Soto. I can see Guzman winning the 1st 2 rds with his countering & Flurrys. But the lack of Power & the shorter arms can't keep Soto from attacking. I see Soto will keep on Pressuring with his Jab & Straight Right & Left hook to the Body. Guzman defends his Body very well with his Mayweather style defense but he sometimes left his face open for Straight Right. That will be my Pick as the Fight ender Punch from Soto. Guzman will score some rounds but once that Straight right hand land flush from Soto it will be over. Soto by 8 rd KO. Smart money on Soto.

If Guzman really has a Great Chin & can take that Straight Right from Soto, I expect the scorecard to be close & Guzman might sneak a Gift decision. He's a Golden Boy Promoted fighter isn't he????

There is no underdog or upset. I have Guzman by UD as I think Soto will get countered all night. But if Soto wins, I won't be surprised at all.

So you are expecting an upset, but not really, because Guzman is likely to receive a gift if it goes to the scorecards...?

Not unless Guzman has been hiding some power we don't know about. He does throw wide looping punches, but I don't think the two fights PacD looked at for Guzman tell you everything about him. At the same time, the Soto who beat Pacquiao is not the best version of Soto to analyze.

I've been ultra impressed with Soto every time I have had the chance to see him fight. I pick Soto to win this and will be shocked as well if he loses.

If Soto won, I wouldn't call it an upset. I just see him getting outboxed and hit with the cleaner shots.

I also think Soto will win this one. Guzman relies too much on his speed, which at this age will not be what it once was. Also against Barrios he showed us that he defence is not all that.

    odds are 6/5 on soto

I don't think Guzman's hiding something, He's not young anymore to hide something. He should have shown all his got in his recent televised Fights. No wonder Pac has no interest on him.
