I saw that Wes Ferguson, who was trained by Mayweather Sr, lost in ESPN FNF. It's not the trainer who going to fight. Trainer can help but the trainer can't make the fighter younger or increase a fighter's power. Guzman might pick up better defense though.

Why do you think Pac want to move up at 135 to fight Juan Diaz????

Juan Diaz shows he's exciting, He's winning Big, relentless, Makes for good Tv fight. That's the reason why Pac want that fight. Guzman In his recent fights in HBO came out short on excitement. He needs to make a Noise & make a name for himself. He has a chance on Saturday but I think Soto will came out as the exciting guy.

Whoever wins, should fight at whatever weight Pac wants to fight, and Pac should accept to fight the winner, after JMM. Guzman has been saying for a while he wanted to move up with Pac anyway. Juan Diaz can wait another couple of months; he just turned 24.

The winner of Guzman v. Soto WILL be exciting enough for Pac and a very suitable challenge. Only reason why Pac might not fight him, and I hope he does, is because he is afraid of losing. :good

Did anybody here change their pick when they found out I pick Soto??? Last week when they gather all the picks in ESB it's almost 50-50 here on ESB. BUt here on this thread it's more like 70-30 for Soto.

I would hardly call this an upset.

Its a 50/50 fight in my opinion, just like the others said.

I like both fighters but I will lean on Soto simply because he has some strength and good enough boxing fundamentals to be the first to embarrass Rocky Juarez. Should be a very interesting fight.

I agree completely that Guzman should certainly be top 3/4 on Pac's list of opponents, however he will have to wait on the cue. Both JMM & Juan Diaz has more power in exercising their rights to fight Pac. If Pac fights Valero instead of Guzman I cant see that as ducking either as Valero is IMO more dangerous than Guzman because of his equalizer. Then again, this will all depend on how Guzman performs against Soto.

As for them being in the same weight div. Pac fought Ledwaba at 122, the biggest fight that could be made at 122 at the time aside from Larios. At 126 he took on MAB & JMM. At 130 he took on Morales, MAB & now JMM. Guzman has only started making a noise when he beat Barios and by then, Pac was already a superstar with plenty of other contenders waiting in line...he wasnt just gonna jump the cue.

You changed your tune. You always use to claim that Guzman was the worst out of the top SFW and all flash no subtance. Soto was supposudley a young prime Erik Morales. A young Erik Morales vs a flashy but no subtance guy? Surely you must favour Soto heavily on this matchup? Or is this one of your tactics to hype up Soto's opponent so that when he wins you can say how great he is by beating a great opponent.

You are right...even though it wasn't for Guzman's lack of trying to get the big dangerous opponents. I would fight him ahead of Diaz, though, simply because Diaz is still very young, whereas Guzman will shortly fall off his peak, if I was Pac, if he beats Soto.

If I had it my way Id have Pac fight JMM, Guzman, Diaz then Valero at 135. This is a legacy building schedule. Pac and team is more into money making schedule though and seing as Pac's top 2 right now are JMM/Diaz and both would be the biggest fights possible, I think thats how it will go. IMO Guzman should look to beat Soto & Valero, Pac cleans JMM & Juan and they meet at 135. Joan will be older but if he had just beaten Valero, it will solidify his status as elite regardless of his age.

Those are the general publics odds but your odds is obviously alot different therefore if Soto were to loose, you should be surprised. Although you claimed there should be no surprises. If your that confident in Soto you should be prepared to admit that you where "completely" wrong and not hide behind the it was a 50/50 odds, should Soto loose.
