a long time ago, a possibility of donaire vs mijares was brought up in esb.It was a good, sensationalized topic that ended in a heated debates and eventually led into " ban for life " bet between pacdbest and amsterdam. Pacd thinks his boy donaire will end up as the winner.
and amsterdam thinks the other way around.

In a nutshell, do you think pacdbest wins this one or amsterdam wins it.
or it is just a stupid bet? In my opinion, amsterdam needs a life insurance for this and a good comeback pseudo name. :yep :yep :yep

    DONAIRE VS MIJARES SHAPING UP!

Reliable sources have informed Philboxing.com that IBF flyweight king Nonito Donaire Jr may get a chance for a mega-buck showdown with WBC/WBA superfly king Cristian Mijares.

Nonito Donaire Sr, his son's trainer, informed Philboxing.com today that Nonito Jr is slated to defend his IBF crown on July 26 underneath the Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito showdown at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

If successful, the plan is to pit Donaire against Mijares later this year.

Promoter Lou Dibella is reportedly keen on having Mijares face Donaire in an HBO-televised event, a battle which will pit two highly-talented world champions at the prime of their careers. :happy :happy :happy :admin :admin :happy :happy

Lets get a life time ban between the 2.

Not sure who I want off the board more.

Good, cause either way we get rid of one unbelievably illogical nuthugger. ESB will be a much better place after this one.

I actually provide good boxing analysis when I post at the very least, sometimes I am extreme, other times I am spot on, but it's all in good fun and I like to chat up about modern boxing, don't care a lick for the classic stuff.

PacDbest makes threads about filipino fighters and knows very little.

I wonder who the posters who enjoy talking boxing would prefer to leave if it's a must, and it will be.:yep

Come on....can you really say this with a straight face considering your position here, or PacDbest's? Can you ever call anyone out on their "man love" without pointing the finger right back at yourself?

    Be honest.

Course, as much as I like my posting buddies on here, my faith in Mijares is higher than them. He's my current 2nd favourite and will become my favourite active once my all time fav in Calzaghe retires.

Actually I enjoy both posters. OBVIOUSLY Amsterdam knows his ****; you just have to realize that some of his posts are pure sarcasm, or joking. Pacdbest on the other hand I used to write off as a complete nutball but have come to like the guy. He is the definition of a "true fan", and would back up Pacman through the thick and the thin. I do not want either guy kicked off the board. We are losing an awesome analyst of the sport if Amsterdam goes and we are losing a great personality to have around if Pacdbest leaves. Lose-lose situation, so why not make it an avatar bet or something along those lines?

I think that bad decisions are apart of the bet, not my opinion of a bad decision, but say if 90% of the forum feels the winner is really the loser, that doesn't count then.

My or PacD's opinion are voided automatically.

Because the Amsterdam character on ESB only deals in absolute and extreme's, so it's a lifetime bet riding on my #2 guy Cristian 'God' Mijares.:good

Well if thats the case then I will be pulling for you. Obviously I am taking Mijares to win this one, but the decisions he has been getting make me very nervous :-(
