You are kidding yourself. Mosley, a dominant lightweight champ, was unbelievable at that weight. He had 8 defences, moved up and beat a peak Oscar De La Hoya at welterweight, a brilliant achievement. He then went on to beat DLH again, as well as stopping Vargas (past his peak) twice. But obviously, we don't care about fighters stopping others past their prime, do we? :D

You can do a poll on who has a better legacy..Mosley or MAB

    Mosley or Erik

    or Mosley or PAC

Ill get a clean sweep..Id even have one hand tied behind my back:hey

And BTW Mosley is my 3rd Fave current Fighter next to PAC and Cotto

You mean after 8 successive title defences, at the age of 27? A few months earlier he had just stopped Ayala, and unlike Morales, he wasn't coming off being dominated by someone like Raheem. Morales was over the hill. Ayala was beginning his slide. He was slightly past his best, but all you have to do is watch the film to know he was still a brilliant fighter. Massive difference.

History will not be kind to the NON-champ Manny Pacquio.

He needs to win titles, and he needs to fight young hungry fighters.

Too bad he just likes picking fights at the retirement home or guys coming off losses.

Kevin McBride has a win over Mike Tyson, doesn't mean he's worth a ****.

Do a poll, Trinidad or Pacquiao. DLH or Barrera. Mosley and Morales. Vargas and JMM.

It will most likely end up 2-2, or 3-1 in favour of the big boys.

Im too tired of a poll but I do agree with 2-2 with DLH and Vargas winning... JMM is a weak link in this foursome

And what's important there is that they are old.

You cant say he aint great

He was great just not as great as people will have you believe...He was abit overrated by his young death.

Some people would say that we havent seen his best..but I tell you the way sanchez fought...he would have been shot at 27.. He got hit way too much coz he loves to bang...against mediocre opponents hed struggle..he stooped to his oppositions level

One thing you can say though is that he is a Big fight boxer...hes usually money with big fights.

But his skills overall..Id compare it to JCC without being as technical and methodical

Yes, they think titles are relevant. Perhaps that's why he is #2 and not #1. It's why they hand out their own titles.

He fought nothing like JCC. He could box, brawl, do it all! He had a fantastic jab.. infact, he could throw every punch in the book, and throw it with bad intentions, despite his relatively skinny frame. Unlike Chavez who was more of a pressure fighter, who killed the body, Sanchez was primarily a counter-puncher, who often got drawn into brawls. He was fast, accurate, powerful, had a granite chin and excellent stamina. He was a very complete fighter.

He did struggle with lesser opponents, but he demolished world class opponents. Gomez, Nelson and Lopez, 3 ATG fighters...he destroyed them. The Gomez and the 2nd Lopez fights are things of beauty. Picture perfect performances. For someone who was 23, he achievements are outstanding. Make no mistake, had he fought til he was 30 or so, he would've been a top 10, possibly top 5 P4P fighter. However, nobody ranks him on what COULD have been. I rank him on what he DID, and what I SAW. H2H, he was exceptional, and would be no worse than 50/50 with any featherweight who ever lived.

See this is where we agree to disagree...Again that Nelson fight was when Azumah had 13 pro fights and a late replacement...That was a close fight...til Nelson got worn...Nelson peaked 3 to 4 years later down the road..this would have been some rematch...Many believed Nelson would have beaten him...

"Many believed". Ridiculous. Sanchez died weeks after the match, and was only 23. He would've only gotten better.

Nelson had a great amateur career, and was 24 at the time of the fight (older than Nelson). Yes, he was inexperienced as a pro, but he wasn't an under-developed teenager. He got better, but so would have Sanchez.

seriously, if you look up nuthugging in the esb dictionary, pacd's name should be right on it.

i think we could use the term pacd'd as an official esb term for nuthugging.

i.e., poster X is a pacd of fighter Y. or fighter Z's pacd's are getting out of control. or some **** like that

Sanchez style of getting hit alot doesnt bode well for him as far as being considered to be top 10 or top 5 (higher than Duran????)

I saw Duran and I saw Sal...even if Sal had lived 100 years at the time I knew Duran was a greater fighter... Sal had some tough fights...Struggled against mediocre competition...sooner or later he would have been beat. Lets not make him out to be invincible ala RJJ or Floyd now and I hate Floyd...He was exciting thats true...

What I cannot stand is some of these fools ranking Sanchez above JCC...its a travesty
