not the coach roach, but the manager roach....is he or isn't he messing up pacs legacy by talking so much ****, and making pac look like he's scared to take a "real" challenge and fight a bigger, better, and far more primed guy in a legit weight class.......the few catch weight fights he's had, roach as been open about the reason behind the catch weights, and the clear advantage in pacs favor....and now, with some more options out there, again he's starting his bull**** by wanting marquez at 147....

    please discuss.....

Well, he is looking out for Manny's best interest, so in that regards, he is doing a great job.

However, I agree that he is often hypocritical and seems shady at times with some of his BS.

Overall though, one can't say he isnt doing a good job for Pac.

i agree....but do you think he's making hardcore fans question pacs career by doing that ****......sure they dont care, they're making money on top of money..but manny seems to care about pride and his legacy, to where as freddie just seems to care about the benjies........i personally think that roach's mouth is really hurting pacs career (from a fans point of view)

I want Pacquiao to make his own decisions more, not bob arum or roach. Just him, he used to fight whoever the people wanted him to, how many times do we here him say fight for fans etc. Besides mayweather we either want marquez 140, martinez 154, or 140 winner, berto is acceptable, mosley is not.

I agree to a point. He talks alot, but I really think Roach has just toeing the company line, as he knows Arum controls Pac, and doesnt want to be "manuvered" out of Manny's career.

Arum doesn't like outspoken fighters, he just wants them to do what he wants them to do, and STFU.

he says things that would put pac's accoplishments at hindsight and even before the fight but we have to keep it all at perspective. probably he will be the guy to save pac one day from arum's greediness. he is the the guy who is genuinely out to see pac's best interest.

You can thank this man for the careful managing.

Arum isn't going to put in jeopordy his biggest investment, after the near disaster.

I like Roach. He is good for Pac but I hope that he stops advocating CWs and other things that give advantage to Pac. Pac doesn't need them anymore.

catchweight doesnt give advantage to pac, catchweight is needed to make the fight happen and to give fair weigth to both fighter. cotto and margarito have huge advantage to pacman in weight. pacman is not even a true welter, he is a light welter fighting welterweight and jr middleweight.

lets face it we know the amazing skills of pacman and that is the reason why we give prediction that pacman is going to win. but we still amaze how he actually doing it in real fight just like the hatton, cotto, margarito except delahoya, were only a slim % give pacman a chance to win

he talks a lot but Pac wouldnt be the same without him. He's a great trainer and has a good with pac. I don't have a problem with any of the catchweights so far bc they havent negatively impacted the fighters. 150 for margo was fine and 145 for cotto was fine. Those are the only two catchweights. DLH was the only truely 'weight drained' fighter and that was his own fault.

Though everything that is going on in Pac career one thing is always the same, the kind of guys he fights. With the exception of JMM and to an extent Clottey, Pac has fought the same type of fighter. slow handed offencive fighters with little to no counter-punching or defense. Sure JMM is interesting to them at this point because what are his options?? Berto, not going to happen his hands are too fast. I think that Pac would beat Berto but they arent going to risk it. Mayweather?? NEVER going to happen which is something that I have said from the very start, everything that Floyd does is counter to what Pac wants to do. Pac CAN beat floyd but likely wouldnt and they arent willing to risk it. Martinez?? forget it, once again too fast. I dont what to hear about him being too big because he is smaller then Margo and maybe even Clottey who is said to walk around near 200 pounds.

JMM and Mosely are likely the route they will go.

As far as Roach goes, he just needs to stfu, he makes pac sound like a ***** often. Just look at some of the comments he has made. "I only let Pac fight Oscar because I saw that he couldnt pull the trigger anymore" And for me the whole fighting weight drained fighters have run its course, Pac would still make great money fighting the likes of Bradley, Kahn, Alexander, but once again that hand speed thing is an issue along with not having guys that are already weakened and sluggish from having to cut too much weight.
