Which is why I responded to your post. Matchmaking is part of this game. But to claim PAC's been placed in to LOW RISK fights is absurd. Great matchmaking is when you see great fighters fighting other great fighters consistantly and that's what PAC has been doing. Just look at his resume and all the proof you need is right ther in black and white.

What would you have Roach do, talk all the other guys up like Pacman has no chance? so Pacman can lose confence and the other guy gain some? or talk him down and mind **** them a bit.

They are in the cherry picking stage at Pac's career, IMO.

Diaz - When he could've faced Campbell (the lineal champion, if memory serves)

Oscar - "Shot." "He can't pull the trigger any more." - Freddie Roach"

Hatton - Three fights removed from being KO'd by Floyd...almost KO'd by Lascano.

Cotto - Two fights removed from being KO'd by Margarito...a disputable win over Clottey. "We don't know how much he has left" - Freddie Roach

Clottey - "He's just not that good" - Freddie Roach.

Margarito - Before the SSM KO...."Margarito is a fight we can't fathom." - Freddie Roach ....NOW.... "I saw your last two fights." - Freddie Roach

    SSM - After KO'ing Marg...."You're too good a fighter" - Freddie Roach
NOW...."That fight would be anticlimatic" - Freddie Roach

I believe he finally sees something in Floyd, he thinks he can train Manny to exploit. This is the fight the FANS want...not necessarily, one they picked, per se.

Cherry picking is what ALL fighters do especially those who are in position to call shots. Like Floyd and Manny. But that still doesn't mean they are cherry picking LOW RISK fights.

The level of competition in PAC's career has been stellar! And it's been consistency that has taken his career and legacy to the highest levels. Diaz has proably been the weakest of the champions he's faced. Had PAC fought Nate he may have gotten a little more credit for the win but they would have automatically pointed at his age...said he was old and probably would have said something about Juan Diaz or even David himself b/c they were young bulls vs Campbell being late 30's.

Freddie says a lot of **** that gets into the heads of fighters who his comments are directed towards. Floyd has a knack for talks DOWN his opponets....DLH included. He said DLH was old and not good at all before he won a split decision. Floyd said Gatti was a bum and garbage....said Shane was old...JMM too small for him..ect..ect..ect.

Mental warfare has been and always will be apart of this game. Shouldn't take every word at face value when it comes to trash talk.

Hatton was almost KO'd by Magee years back before he was a champion....but doesn't really matter.. Ricky was one of Jr WW's most dominant and consistant champions. And PAC destroyed him inside of 3 rounds.

Roach is a great trainer and he has been more of a talker for PAC who isn't really a talker himself. With guys like James Toney whom Freddie has trained in the past he didn't have to be so vocal. He seems to really want to talk on behalf of PAC and PAC doesn't seem to mind.

your memory fails you, campbell was supposed to fight guzman back then.

before the fight, oscar was seen as cherry-picking pac, now people like you thinks it was pac who cherry-picked oscar. roach has been saying this all the time when he was training oscar for floyd yet people thinks pac is out of his mind for challenging oscar 2 weight divisions up.

and you forgot that he dominated lazcano in that fight and outclassed the #1 ranked LWW in malignaggi under floyd sr as coach. also pac fought him at his best weight where he was undefeated unlike floyd who dragged him up to 147 where he looked ****.

but in the fight, we have seen how cotto performed and bounced back after the pac loss. could not ay the same with mosley that floyd fougth who looked shot and was confirmed after the mora fight.

Clottey - "He's just not that good" - Freddie Roach.[/quote]
not that good when compared to pacquiao but was too good against judah, corrales and even have a close fight against cotto.

and pacquiao wants to fight him then while roach doesn't. meanwhile floyd won't fight any top welter unless they are inactive or approaching 40.

roach still doesn't want this fight cause he believe mosley was shot.

and afther the fight and if pac stops floyd, you will be the first of the lot to call roach again that he cherry-picked floyd because he lost his legs.

Hey...Professor West gave the Commencement Address at my College Graduation. He was Amazing...Been a Fan Every Since. These Fools in here like to used the word 'RACIST" yet have NO earthly Idea of what the word means!!! There was one poster who went to my profile page and had the nerve to ask why the photos of My "Favorite Prospects" are all Black. And it just show the LIMITS TO THESE POSTERS brains that they can't see beyond Color. If they had a working Brain and knew about Boxing...they would have known that Demetrius Andrade, Rau'Shee Warren, Devon Alexander and Fernando Guerrero (who is Dominican by the way) Are all SouthPaws...Like me:hi:. Shawn Porter and Rau'Shee Warren are from Ohio...Like Me:hi:. And now one of my Favorite new Prospects is Adrien Broner who is from Ohio (Cincinnati)....LIKE ME. But somehow this Idiot thinks color is the factor:-(.

I must admit, when the claims of racism first began...it kinda' bothered me. Solely because I work in the profession of Broadcast Journalism. So the opinion of my viewers/readers/listeners are important to me. But when I met a large number of Posters at a Juan Diaz fight...I saw that all of these fools were COMPLETE LOSERS!!! These dudes, had NO Job, NO Education, Living with their Parents, Totally ****ing Drunk and acting a DAMN FOOL and completely embarrassing the **** out of me. And I thought, if this was the "Average" ESB Posters...then being concerned with what they think, would be a complete waste of time!!!

I think the reason why he won't allow another CW is because he was bashed twice about it already. So, for everyone to STFU, he decided to say 147 or no fight.
