we are all disappointed but this is the reality. pacquiao ducked marquez just like marquez ducked pacquiao the first time. each time, the reason is money and arum. arum: "let's fight david diaz." pac: "but the fans wants marquez and besides i fear no one." arum: "i'll give you more PPV shares and more bonus." pac: "ok." fcuk!!!
You can say that for every every fighter's fan's. Pac fans are no different, theres just more of them. Im not justifying David but I do see him as a tubeup for either JMM or JuanD.
yeah. pac walked away and fought morales while marquez walked away and fought john. don't push your luck too far boy.
Tuneup for JMM, at 135lbs? I guess I just dont understand. Pac has had enough tuneups, why not fight Marquez now. Its not as if he is coming off of a war. Its been a one sided decision over Barrera in a tactical fight and a fight against Solis in the past year.
i don't spin pendejos, it's clear that marquez ducked pacquiao the first time and pacquiao just returning the favor now. if marquez accepted the $750k back then and won, he should be the draw right now.
So much speculations as to why Pac is not fighting JMM. If only we can interview either Pac, Arum or Roach then we will know the real reason. Does anyone here has a connection with those three?
Pricing yourself out is a form of ducking. JMM didn't deserve parity then took a much smaller paycheck to fight a lesser fighter (albeit an unbeaten champion).
Doesn't Pac deserve a tune-up fight? Geez you haters really want Pac to lose. Compare the opponents he fought: Barrera 2x, Morales 3x, JMM, Larios, Ledwaba, Sasakul etc... who among the current fighters have a resume as good as Pac? After David Diaz he might fight Juan Diaz next! So what are you guyz complaining about?
Because he had still done more than JMM had done. His beating Barrera as he did made him instantly more marketable and a bigger draw than JMM is even NOW. And JMM had 2 belts, but MAB was the Ring champion when Pacquiao beat him and to many, the rightful champion of the division. Stripping a fighter of the title doesn't strip his championship status.
Call BS all you like. JMM had accomplished very little on the big stage. It's as simple as that. Purses comes down to who the draw is, and the general boxing public had little clue as to who JMM was. Pulling the "knowledgable boxing fan" card holds little weight....I don't care for that either/or crap. Even so, knowledgable boxing fans are few and far between illustrating further that few general boxing fans knew who JMM was and thus he didn't deserve parity. A bigger cut than the first fight sure....but not equal terms.
It's not based on an assumption. Nor did I shoot down my own argument. They knew JMM was someone who had just drew with Pacquiao. They did not in fact, follow him. Pacquiao gained a following after his fight with MAB. It's different to beat a legend than to draw with the man who beat the legend. If you want validation, look at how they did immediately thereafter in their next fights. If JMM was worth parity, then he shouldn't have had to take the 50k to fight an unbeaten Chris John while Pacquiao made substantially more to face 3K Battery, a lesser fighter than John.
Or I am placing facts on the table. Do you have a response to why JMM took 50k in his next fight (against a champion no less) while Pacquiao made substantially more to fight a weak fighter if JMM was as big a draw? No need to insult my intelligence by the way. It's beneath you.
