Under discussed on these boards, though not under appreciated. I've seen him in P4P top tens.

    His offical record is 68 (50) 0.

    Count the newspaper decisions, 104-1.

What kind of fighter was he? Was he great, truly great?

His best win? Is there any film of him? Misc thoughts?

Someone I've meant to delve into but haven't got around too.

There are some guys (Pea mainly if I'm not mistaken) who are quite big on him, looking forward to this discussion, good thread :good

I believe his middleweight fight against Mike Gibbons is out there as well.

In terms of talent he might be truly great.

The guy was esentialy a lightweight, and he held Mike Gibbons to a draw (papers argued it either way).

Gibbons did his own pound for pound thing by beating up Jack Dillon.

Dillon turned into a minor Sam Langford.

He is an anomoly who is verry hard to place.

His record at lightweight is incredible.

    Put it this way.

If you are a Roy Jones proponent, then you should recognise this guy on the same criteria, eg outrageous dominance vs the best in a few key fights.
