i want to start that i am a pac fan,
and that i have stated many times that mayweather picks his oppenents etc
won't fight guys like mosley and williams etc etc

    that being said

everyone is always harsh on MONEY mayweather and no one talks about the little sneaky things that happen in pac's fights...

    a. the catch weight thing......when you go up in weight to fight(espically challengeing for a belt)
the point is that you go up in weight and prove your greatness by beating a larger fighter..............

not force guys into bs catch weight fights, the bigger guy is forced to cut a lot of weight and comes into a fight small and weak....

while pac is putting on muscle and eating whatever he wants....

no shock that oscar whose recent fights were at 154-160, had nothing in their fight....

and that cotto who is not a small 147 pounder didnt seem to have usual power and could not hurt pac.....
(did anyone see how shinny cotto looked at the weight in)

    that is reason A.

reason.....at 135, pac fights diaz, and runs up in weight, pretending campbell is not there etc

140....why the hell do they say he was champion there, no he wasnt
he did not beat any of 4 belt holders,
and did not fight someone like bradley but instead hatton
again a guy who has to lose a ton of weight to make 140

147....he fights cotto for the belt.....why the hell does cotto have to come to 144,

you want to be a champ at 147, you fight at 147 and see if you can beat the champ at that weight....

roach tried to get mosley to do the catch weight bs as well.....

when henry armstrong fought barney ross for the 147 crown,

he did not ask for catch weight,
you come to a champion's weightclass, you fight at that weightclass

roy jones coming from 175 to fight ruiz, who is 230

did not ask for a 200 pound catch weight etc

    For the 1000th time
Pac did not make Oscar come down to 147 to fight him. He was coming down on his own accord to campaign there starting with a fight at 147 which was to be a rematch with Mayweather Jr. Mayweather Jr. backed out of the rematch and went into retirement leaving Oscar to fill the space. He had no one. He said he would fight winner of Cotto/Margarito. Cotto lost, Margarito won, and Oscar then announced the fight at the end of the year would be filled with Manny Pac at Freddy Roach's suggestion.

There was no plan to dehydrate DLH.
Dlh's last fight was against Forbes at 150 trained by Jeff Mayweather as a tune up for his fight with Mayweather Jr. which I think was scheduled for September.
The Pac fight was for December, giving Oscar two months to COMPLETELY change his strategy (and trainer) going from one extreme, Mayweather, to another, Pac.

Just trying to end this myth that has surfaced recently.

Yeah, pac was not a champ at 135. That diaz fight was a sham i agree. I dont really count pac as a champ at 135 like many do. I guess he "officially is"

However, he is a champ at 140 without doubt.... Kostya was the undisputed champ that held all the belts, hatton beat him. Hatton was never beaten at 140. Making him still the 140 undisputed champ when pac beat him. those other 4 guys all had vacant paper titles. Simple huh??

Obviously, you are not a pac-fan nor are you a boxing fan.

First, Pacquiao asked Cotto for a catchweight at 143. Cotto said no he wanted 145. Cotto wanted this because he knew the catch weight will not affect him.

Second, Hatton WAS the lineal champion at 140 and 140 was his most comfortable weight class.

Third, Cotto was hurting Pacquiao. Pacquiao endured his shots. Did you really watch the fight? Did you see Pacquiao's damage? :patsch

Get your facts right before you post. You're making a fool out of yourself. :hi:

i dont agree with you about hatton being the champ at 140,

linear belts make sense on paper but not always in reality,
there are reasons why guys are stripped of belts.

point is hatton was VERY well managed fighter, who rarely fought
"paper champions" like bradley aka the best in his weight class.

this whole thing about he beat the guy who beat the guy does not always work....

    reason why.......

it's hard to beat the guy when he wont get in the ring with you....

the wba, wbc, ibf, wbo etc have created enough bs

but remember before them, champions had a very easy time hiding from guys
    they didnt want to fight....

lets say the wbc was around in 1920's and jack dempsey was stripped of the belt for not fighting harry wills

or in the 1940's zale or robinson etc were being stripped of belts for not fighting
    burley or holman williams...

history would be a little different then, woundn't it
