As people have said already the fight was a no go even with the 50-50. I really do not know why people are stuck on that no to 50-50 and the 40 million, negotiations have not even started and this is PBF's opening position. There is still other thing to work out so this is quite reasonable because he wants to have leverage with further discussions.

Floyd doesn't need to be out of jail to be promoted. Hell, the guy could probably set up some kind of reality show about him being in jail.

The only real problem is how much time he has to train. And I think if he stays fit in jail, a two month training camp ought to be enough.

 

Reason it won't happen on May 5th is because Floyd set the day & place without a bout agreement first.

Arum don't care if it's the best date or place or whatever, the fact that Floyd booked it without running it by him first is reason enough for Bob to turn it down.

Out of anyone in the world ANYONE, Floyd would know that that's what would happen, well before he ever thought of the idea to book MGM.
