    I have a question.

If oscar weighed under the 147 limit a week or 2 before the actual fight.
Why would he need to drain himself to make weight.

Answer - He didn't - 145 was his actual weight.

And those weren't IV marks. They were probably from his heroin.

Oscar had not fought at that weight in years the man was 35 years old and already a big WW he thought he could make weight and he did but he was drained as **** kinda like Dawson was against Ward but it was worse because Oscar was older than Dawson.
Everyone knows that he had iv marks on his arm it is common knowledge so just stop it. Also Oscar was on coke not heroin.

I love people that say oscar was weight drained. I'd love to know an example of a fighter that weighed in drained the day before the fight.
Spent the next day and a half, eating, drinking, even using a UV drip. Yet came into to the ring the same weight.

Its not Physically possible. And there is't Another fight in history where this has happened.

Oscar was in a terrible state, but he wasn't weight drained.

Yup. Roach had first hand knowledge training Oscar, and he knew he was shot. Why else do you think he accepted the fight?

The same reason he accepted the Mosley fight after ducking him 2 years earlier.

Give me one example. Anywhere. Where afighter had to drain to make weight. Yet didn't put on any weight between weigh in and fight night.

He has a day and a half to eat and drink as much as he wants.

So his body shut down then. What sounds worse, being weight drained, or having your body no longer willing to cooperate internally?

oscar was not weight drained. he came into the weight as early as a month before fight day. he trained to be as light as possible so that he can have more speed. it's their strategy since they knew that oscar would be naturally bigger than that LW version of pacquiao.

a real drained fighter is a guy who struggled to make weight several days before the weigh-in to which oscar didn't.

exactly. - He came in at the exact weight they wanted too. They trained for speed.

It was a mistake. They should have used his size. But thats what they went for.

You are very delusional and ignorant to the effects of cutting weight when it comes to the sport of boxing. There have been numerous of guys that have been drained while still making the weight some guys are drained and they don't even make the weight. I suggest you pay more attention to the sport and spend sometime around boxing gyms or around boxers. Anyone can plainly see Oscar was drained the guy looked emaciated his face was drawn in pale, he looked like death. No amount of *******ness will take away the fact that Oscar was indeed drained hell even Roach admitted as such. Oscar was the classic case of extreme weight draining he was a walking skeleton on fight night.

When your body is unable to rehydrate naturally and you need medical assistance prior to a fight, it's a clear sign of your body shutting down and being unable to return to it's healthy state.

It's what happens when you cut so much weight, your stomach shrinks down and it refuses a lot of nutrients, especially as you age.
