Pacquiao on points I just think he will have too much for De La Hoya at this stage of his career

Trying to analyze and pick apart a fight like this is truly maddening for a few reasons....
Pac as of late has fought more often and against much better opposition albeit at a lower weight.
However it's hard to escape the size ability and skill of DLH...
If we're to judge based on the fighters most recent performance I can understand why people may pick Pac. I went with DLH by decision but could certainly see him KOing Pac

I'm glad that Pac's about to start training for his fight with DLH and I'm sure it's gonna' be very grueling over the next couple months.. All I think Manny has to do is evade DLH's power punches and try to avoid the jab.. Perhaps using his speed and quickness to move in close and throw a few combinations before getting out the way.. No way I think Pac can KO DLH, but I sure do think he can win on points.. If Pac can maintain his stamina and tire DLH by making him miss and working on him on the inside, then Pac can overcome the odds.. Pac's my man and there's no way I'm picking against him in any fight..

Mayweather Sr. Is Out As De La Hoya's Trainer!

DLH said that the split is his problem since he didn't contact Sr. in time and Floyd made a deal with Hatton a few days ago. Of course DLH won't share a trainer with anyone. The rumor is that Ignacio Beristain can be the new one which is very good.

It official: Ignacio Beristain, the trainer of the Marquez brothers will be in DLH's corner for the PacMan fight. It was announced yesterday.

“Nacho Beristain is a great trainer who I have respected for many years, and I’m honored to have him in my corner,” De La Hoya said. “Considering that he prepared Juan Manuel Marquez for two fights against Manny Pacquiao, he knows him very well. I’m confident that with Nacho’s game plan and my execution, we’ll be victorious on Dec. 6.”

“Oscar De La Hoya is one of the premier fighters of this era, and I am excited about working with him for this very important fight,” Beristain said. “I already have a plan in mind for beating Pacquiao, and I know Oscar will do whatever it takes to carry that plan through on fight night.”

I say: excellent choice. Nacho is a great great trainer, probably the best Mexican trainer currently and knows the PacMan very very well.

We need more polls like these so we can determine which of the ESB members are on drugs.

My vote is either Hoya TKO, Pac UD or SD.

Look at them in this photo: the size difference is not that big at all... also I think PacMan will look big compared to his LW body since he doesn't have to dehydrate. You can say anything you want about him fighting at low divisions at the age of 17, a fighter who's fight night weight is 146 is a natural light welterweight. I expect him to come into the fight at 152, which will be natural to him since he had months to do the proper training and no dehydration this time. He still looked a bit weak in his LW weigh-in and I don't think he'll ever return to 135 - look him to fight Hatton if he loses, Mayweather if he wins vs. DLH.

Look at Cotto's size next to Oscar and Mosley:
