De La Hoya will knock him out (in less than 6 I think), but I'm praying that Pacquiao smashes his face in.

I think de la hoya will win by Ko but i will be rooting for manny because it will embaress Oscar. Manny got the speed to keep at bay at oscar and him with some precise shots.

I think it's a tough fight to pick. 60% picked DLH and 40% PacMan here, so it's not a mismatch according to the Eastsideboxing Community. How could it be, DLH looked well past his prime vs. Forbes. His shoulder injuries caused him abandon the jab vs. Mayweather anyway, also there were some issues with that in the Mayorga and Forbes fights, and that shot is very important in this fight. Also he's weight-drained and PacMan will be strong somewhere around 150 pounds fight night.

Vs. Forbes, Oscar looked at least 3 years older than vs, Mayweather. If that DLH shows up (even more weight-loss this time), I think if it's going to go past the 7th, Oscar will have serious problems stopping PacMan's relentless attacks, so the 'upset' (beating and old man is hardly an upset if you were a WW fight night in your other fights this year) is possible. PacMan's body shots could be very effective to break down the old DLH.

If the over-the-hill, but not THAT old DLH shows up - the one who fought Mayweather - I think he can win both by stoppage and on points. In his prime he was a masterful counter-puncher, and maybe still can throw perfectly timed hooks PacMan coming inside. Prime vs. prime, there's a HUGE difference in skills, height and weight difference is meaningless compared to that. I just don't think he can repeat the Mayweather performance close to 2009. Maybe less is enough. But he's fighting the P4P best, who can definitely punch and his very busy style is pretty bad for an aging fighter with stamina problems.

I'm picking DLH, but I expect a competitive fight and I just can't predict how old and drained he'll be...

    Pacmaaaaaaaaaaaaan Paaaaaacquiaaaaoooooo! :bbb :bbb :bbb

PacMan did everything right, Roach knew, taught and Manny executed what was the right thing to do. Perfect fight.

Like I said, it was up to fight night to see whether DLH can or can't fight at least on the Mayweather fight level. He couldn't. He looked TERRIBLY OLD, guy shy, especially slow on reflexes. Speed difference or not, you could see a HALF A SECOND GAP in reaction between a PacMan left hand and DLH's reaction. Not the usual 10th of a second... half a second. He was a peace of crap, but to Manny's credit, maybe the Mayweather fight's DLH would've been too slow.

PacMan, P4P#1 and probably FOTY, should now fight at 140. Hatton in May, Mayweather in September to December, you can bet on this.

It was sad to see an old DLH beat up, but IT WAS GOOD FOR BOXING! Finally a furious unstoppable fighter at the biggest stage, "New Bruce Lee" for the general public, a relentless warrior. Even if it was too one-sided to make millions of new fans, maybe those who chose MMA in the last years now will watch boxing more - because of Manny. At least it wasn't a Mayweather-type defensive fight. The difference is this BTW. Floyd had the speed, stamina and power to do just the same but refused to entertain. PacMan did the right thing: NEVER let the old man take control and fight his fight, and won rightfully so.

Well i was right. If i have to explain why i'll still be labelled a ******* am i?
But i'm not really clamoring for respct in this forum, i just want all this pacterons to stop hating pac. And now that pac won as an underdog with a huge obstacle in hoya, i hope pac gets credit where credit is due without linking hatred to us *******s..it's ok if you label me a lunatic whose brain is just too fried from maryjane but now pac showed nothing is impossible and anything can happen: respect him..and don't say you hate him just because he has fans who are called *******s.
