Pacman gave Tyson a ticket to the fight

Its the media & when it comes to Tyson, they nearly always try to put a negative spin on things whenever they report on Mike. Anyway, fcuk them, most of these reporters haven't even wrapped their own hands or sparred let alone actually get in there & box!

Big up Manny for giving Mike tickets? Nice to see Tyson following Pacquiao's progress in training. This shows that Mike still loves boxing otherwise he wouldn't be there, right?

I also think Roach & Mike are on good terms, which is good!

 

Some reasons why Manny is blessed...

 

Maybe hes{Pac}also paying for his other fees going to fight night? Hotels? Foods?

 

tyson picked dlh to win but still pac gives him 4 tickets so he can see the fight. just goes to show what kind of person pac is. pac is a great ambassador for this sport.

and the title of the thread is wrong... it's not a ticket but 4 tickets. i'm sure that those tickets are very good seats.

Good points, but there is a difference. A small minority of people are considered icons. Of those people, the icons who are viewed as tragic figures tend to get sympathy. Lets face it, Mike is defiantly an iconic tragic figure who is viewed nowadays as being "picked" on by the media.

The rest of us are average people who go about our lives blending into our surroundings, for whatever reason never achieving what Mike and others like him have in the publics eye. Do I feel sorry for an average person living an average life? No. But a person who achieved something great only to loose it all (for what ever reason) is in fact tragic. Some will show empathy, some will show contempt.

I'm guessing that at times Mike wishes he had an average life.

 

Off topic, but to add to what you said, this is exactly what happened with Corrales. Anyone else who beats their wife is condemned for it (and should be), but when it came to Diego Corrales everyone would find a way of sugarcoating it. A fighter does NOT hit a woman. Full stop.
