Baldomir had like 10 losses at WW, and he beat Judah and shot to pieces Gatti. Hatton was undefeated at JWW, he beat Kostya tsyzu(who desroyed Zab), Castillo, Urango, Mallignagi, Lazcano, Maussa, Ben tackie & Vince Philips. Hardly comparable dont you think? Hatton possibly one of the 'greatest' ever 140lbers and Baldomir is but a blip in the 147lb division.
Please enlighten me. I'll fully admit that I don't believe he wanted to fight Margo, the other two claims are a joke though. Mayweather called out Mosley in front of the whole world, he even volunteered to go up in weight. HBO set aside a date for the fight and everything. However, after the Vargas fight, when pressed about the fight, Mosley said he didn't want to fight Mayweather. He fought no one instead. Yeah, Mosley recently called out Mayweather, but Floyd ignored him so that he can beat up your boy Pac. Turning down Mosley to fight Pac is hardly ducking. As far as Cotto, that's an abosulte joke. Arum made no attempts to match Cotto with Floyd. He bought Cotto a belt in his very first WW fight(ensuring he would never be a mando for Floyd) and then focused soley on matching Cotto with Margo. C'mon Bladerunner, you can do better than this.
Look, Baldo was a solid fighter at best. However, Bladerunner was trying to hype up Hatton based purely on his status as the recognized champ. However, he was clearly past his best. That version of Hatton would probably have been KO'd by Baldo.
When has Mosley ever said he didnt want to fight him, what he said is that he was going to take the rest of the year of which he did. All you have to do is check Mosley's record to see he doesnt duck nobody. Mosley recently called him out to his face and what happened? he got ducked. Sorry but i rather believe in the words of guys like Cotto-Mosley-Margo guys that have fought everybody and have fought each other than believe in the word of a guy that didnt fought any of them.
That version of Hatton was coming of a dominant performance against Paulie one of the top contenders at 140.
:rofl Paulie is a joke and you know it. He was tailor made for Hatton and he still didn't look that great. Who has Paulie ever beat? He needed a gift from the judges to beat N'Dou and Ngoudjo. His best accomplishments are losses.
Bull****. Baldo has no power. If Hatton had just previously handled a huge JWW who should be a WW witha big punch in Urango, **** all baldomir was gonna do to Hatton. Baldomir had 0 skills, just toughness...hatton would have outbox him easy. Hatton wasnt that bad...Pac just made him look that bad. Its nothing new, he made MAB an ATG look that bad...MAB was p4p 3 and came back to a dominant win over Morales to claim a SFW belt straight after. He made ODLH look that bad...yea yea bring up all the excuses you want but no one has made him look that bad before. He made Cotto look that bad, even worse than what margo did with plasters. Baldo was nothing but a 1hit wonder. A guy who caught Judah on his bad night. Dont try to make that win more than what it is.
Yeah, he said he would fight Mayweather "next year". When Merchant pointed put that Mayweather would be fighting Hoya, thus making a fight for 2007 unlikely, Mosley had no answer. He avoided Floyd, no question about it. He didn't do it because he was scared, but because it wasn't convienient for him to fight Floyd. Well now it's not convienient for Floyd to fight Mosley. :rofl Stop it, you're embarressing yourself. What's worse, Floyd ignoring Mosley to fight Pac who is the no.1 p4p fighter in what would be possibly the biggest fight of this generation, or Mosley avoiding Floyd to fight nobody? Let's see how foolish you're willing to make yourself look here. Ok guy, whatever you say.
Yeah, we've already seen how that claim is bull****. Now Pac is going to be fighting Floyd himself. He won't be fighting someone Floyd beat or someone who some fans claim Floyd ducked. Fighting Mayweather is a cold dose of reality. Pac is about to re-enter reality.
Again, Baldo was a solid fighter at best. It was a good win only because of Baldo's status at the time. The point I'm making is that Hatton wasn't that good at the time he fought Pac either.
Like i said believe in what you want,in the end of the day he will always be remembered as the guy that ducked MArgo-Cotto-Mosley and hes doing what he can to duck Pac too.
He was the same Hatton as Always, but i see you think otherwise so tell me what were the differences between the Hatton that Pac fought and Hatton at his best and please dont give me that bull**** that your boy ruined Hatton.
Hatton was never that good to begin with. He made so many mistakes it's not even funny. Even Roach said Hatton was never very good. The Hatton Pacquiao fought clearly had a reduced punch resistance. Hatton's inability to take a punch had been evident since the Collazo fight. Mayweather fully exposed it, and Lazcano reinforced it.
No, Floyd will be remembered as the best fighter of his time, as a 5 division champ, and as the guy who ended Pac's career.:deal
