Read - Arum doesn't have any more opponents he can sell the public that's hand picked for Pac to dominate.

I disagree. Pac has always had trouble with fighters who have defense and use movement. Thats why he hasnt fought many fighters with these attributes.

Pac definitely appreared to be on a downhill slide. He did not fight for three minutes per round, nor did he land much other than a straight right hand. Give Bradley some credit for that, too.

He has had a great run and given boxing fans many exctiting fights. Maybe he comes back focused and strong, but at his age, retirement might be a good idea.

Bradley would fall under the fighter with movement category:deal

His workrate and speed were very dissapointing...

If it was the Pacquiao from 2009 that beat Cotto fighting he would have killed Bradley...

His workrate dip might be contributed to by clear hesitations and mindfull actions in avoiding Bradleys head (not wanting to jump in)

I think that Pac is not lost skills, he just has no heart anymore, Marquez ripped it out of his chest. Marquez has two hearts now his and Manny's.

You are failing to understand my point, PAC has built a legacy and these past 3 fights he has lacked his killer bite, he is clearly on the slide, he rather stop the rot now then further damage his legacy.

Fact of the matter is 2 years ago PAC would of KO Bradley no problem that's the difference.

But Bradley is no where close to the elite level and Manny should have has a field day with him,but he can not handle movement

Manny was all about throwing a gazillion punches that is what made him effective
he came nowhere close to taking bradley to school and that cotto at 154 would beat the manny we just saw

I do understand you point. You're saying just because Pacquiao no longer throws 100 punches per round like he used to, he should retire.

And I'm telling you that's ******ed.

Plenty of fighters slow down, adapt their style, and become less devestating because of their age. Pacquiao isn't the first, and he certainly won't be the last. As long as he's still got enough left in him to use his experience and skills to get by -- as he evidently just showed against Bradley -- then he's got more reasons to carry on rather than being told to go into retirement.

And as always, Darni, you're failing to take into consideration so many other factors that were in play during those three fights you're referring to. Styles of fighters, being one of them.

LOL not many threads on esb anymore claiming pacman to be the GOAT!!

    Horrible performance v Shane
    schooled by JMM
    Looked like **** against Bradley

Pac just didnt look well at the weekend he looked tired, look at all the fights he has had, its been a long career it was bound to catch up to him. I just hope he has enough money to retire happy and all of his hangers on dont suck every penny from his bank account.

I wouldn't say all gone, but yeah, I've been saying for the longest time as well that Pac should retire because unless a fight with Mayweather is possible, there's no way his legacy will still be affected by beating "lesser" fighters.

Problem is, even an over the hill Pac is still MILES AND MILES AHEAD of the other offensive-minded boxers of this generation.

It's like there's a vacuum that exists between Pac/May and all other contemporary boxers that if they both retire, we will be left with either green boxers or class B fighters and below.

This. I think manny has slowed down some but it is highly exaggerated at times. The bigger concern IMO is if he still dedicated to the sport.
