That is weird. He beat someone who hasn't been a welterweight in 7 years and now he's a top 5 contender?

    Doesn't make sense.

Beating Oscar should not put him in the top five. Weird.

pac said he has no intention of going back to 135 since he had some trouble making weight for the diaz fight. he also hasn't fought at 140 yet. so, where will you rank him then? it has to be at welter since that was his last fight, even if it was a one-off.

but it does look goofy to see pac as a welter. that will change though when he finally goes down to 140 and does his first fight there, hopefully w/ hatton.

What was Oscar ranked at 154 in ring, before the fight?

Let see if I can make some sense out of this nonsense. I suppose Pac's ranking is based more for how dominate he was and not just for the victory over Oscar. Winning every round in fight in which he was the overwhelming underdog must have influenced his ranking.

Or it was because Oscar owns The Ring and Pac's stunningly high ranking is an attempt to help Oscar's image after such a devastating defeat.

    Idunno. :huh

Oscar wasn't even a welterweight, let alone ranked in the top 10, and now Pacquiao is a top 5 welterweight for beating him?

I never thought GBP would taint The Ring this much.

He beat the owner. They had no choice.

So, where will rank Pacquiao then? Considering that he fought in this weight 147.

    Nowhere in the top 10.

Oscar hasn't fought at that weight for 7 years.
