way for you to twist things. he has the fight on the wraps. he can stop margarito by turning the heat on but he cruised and let margo finished the fight. if ever, it's a respectable move that earned him respect as a humane fighter. that is also the fight were he he retorted the quote "boxing is not for killing" afterwards to questions on why he let margarito finish the fight.

compared to the hatton and cotto fight, pacquiao has changed his perspective and lost the killer in him.

60 fights starting from a teenager.

    Age.

Roach (his trainer, who is trying to add more aspects to his game).

    Politics.

    Arum (a scumbag)

A combination of a few or all of the above.

    Who knows.

But he's more vulnerable without it. And not because he's out of his prime. Simply because he's adapted his style for the worse.

Not an excuse for future fights though.

He should retire if balancing politics and boxing.

He hasn't, suggesting his hunger is still there.

It's more of a game plan instigated by Roach to make Pac more technical.

Which, imo, will bring about his downfall.

Against Margarito he was fighting someone who was much bigger and naturally found himself against the ropes having to work much harder

Against Mosley he was fighting someone on the backfoot with head movement

Against Marquez he was fighting someone who could counter and beat him to the punch

Pac hasnt lost his "killer" instinct, its just bob is running out of credible names to put him in with, hence stylistically he has looked bad in some fights

He didn't lose anything. This here looks like old Pac with his killer inistinct. Trying to come in and take Juan's head off, but guess what?

    This content is protected

    He's not a stationary target

    you feel me?

In most of his fights he has the speed to get in and out with out getting caught.. I think the killer instinct is there unless it gets neutralized, once it gets neutralized and is getting caught it slows a fighter down..

2009 was Pacquiao's prime year. Majority of people here agree. Heck, even Floyd didn't want to fight him.

Pac tried to stop Margarito but the referee wasn't looking to stop the fight any time soon... A lot of people already said before the fight that Margarito was going to get the **** beat out of him in exchange for getting re-licensed, and the ref wouldn't stop the fight. Sure as hell seemed that way.. And I think Pac noticed even though he ****ed his whole eye up, the ref wasn't going to stop it. So he let up..

I don't think that's a loss of killer instinct, because I interpret this killer instinct as him going all out trying to stop his opponent... He didn't because he knew it wouldn't happen. Only difference I see in the Cotto fight was he could stop Cotto. Cotto was on his bike the last few rounds and Pac chased him around the ring, throwing flurries whenever Cotto stopped on the ropes. When Bayless stopped it, it looked like he was just looking for something decent to land because Cotto was done. I just don't see that as being some killer instinct that he lost in the Margarito fight... Just a different situation.

Exactly!! :deal That's the killer instinct I'm assuming they're talking about. He displays it when he can get a stationary target, one coming towards him, or a moving target goes on the ropes. Those looked like horribly wild combos because JMM wasn't doing any of the above.

Pac is the same fighter he always was-

all that talk about "developed right hand" blah blah blah...that was all exposed in JMM 3..

Pac is the same...just hyped more..isn't any better, skill and talent wise speaking, than he was when he fought JMM 2.
