odlh was drained and hydrated with an IV which was even visible to roach who said it and instructed pac to jump on him because of it I guess he's wrong and your right that's like saying someone who's been sick for two months and lost twenty pounds but walked around at the weight for two months is still ok correct?

dlh cleary didnt belong at 147. hes too big for that weightclass. dlh was a big welterweight even in his prime. plus the fact that he was 35 added to the problem. but at the end of the day, its dlh own damn fault. he had to go down to 147 to mask the fact that he was so much bigger then pac, but pac ended up kicking his ass anyway

    Have you even met Mayweather..?:think

How about Pac...?..have you met him?

Actually you don't know if Manny is REALLY a class act or if Mayweather is boorish and ignorant.

Why does **** like that even matter to a guy?

if mayweather is so good, why the hell does he not make things happen for him to fight cotto, mosley, pac or margo before?

he always boasts that he is his own boss, compared to pac, yet, the fights he fought recently, baldo, gatti, dlh, hatton and now JMM does not bring that much respect imo.

if he is his own boss, why can't he make things happen according to his will? like making ticket sales for his jmm fight better. :)

mayweather is very good, one of the best athletes in our time. just sad for me to see him waste his talent by not going up against the cotto, mosley or margo.

i am beginning to think that he won't even fight pac.
mosley, cotto or pac had the best chance to take away that "0" from him.

All im saying is, there is nothing hype about Floyds abilities. Not saying anything about Pac who is also in that echelon.

Yeah Pac beat a guy Mayweather finished and beat DLH 2 years after Mayweather fought which was weight drain. Two good win for Pac, but not that great. Mayweather will beat Pac by TKO. To bad the fight won't happen, because Cotto will beat Pac.

IU ahev a medical degree and look at those things from medical perspective.

When it was still 2 months to go, hoya was somewhere at 151 or something, meaning he lost substantial poundage within a few weeks from the time the fight was announced. That could only mean one thing, he lost it through exstreme dieting, thereby losing muscle mass instead of what other boxers usually do which is to lose it gradually, and that 1-2 days prior to weigh-in, they are hovering 2-4 pounds above the weigh limit. Then they starve themselves to gain advantage by balooning afterwards. What they were losing was water, not muscle. Extreme dieting sacrifices muscle mass significantly. Fats is usually sacrificed as well, but in Hoya's case, he is exactly not a fatty person.

Now with Hoya's case, because he lost so much muscle mass, when they attempted to "rehydrate" or become the bigger fighter, they were not able to do so simply because what they lost is not body water but muscle mass. The IV was probably an attempt to gain more pounds but I think that failed because he probably just weighed 150-151 at fight time. Apparently, Pac was heavier after weigh-in, which tells you that he was not weigh-drained. There is a limit as to how much IV fluid could be give without disrupting the patient's physiology. Besides, patients with normal renal function would try to eliminate the excess fluid, which is not good if your are boxing because you might have to go to the toilet in the middle of the fight.

If he was weight-drained, he would have to be still at around 158-60 at fight time, but what would be noticeable is the punch resistance would go down significantly, power and speed would be gone. Try fighting after having a diarrhea. That is exactly how weight drained fighter would be. In Hoya's case, he was not strong enough nafter losing muscle mass significantly, but his punch resistance is still there. The speed is probably there but even in Hoya's prime, he was not exactly a fast fighter. He has fast hands, but he is clumsy with his footwork, almost robotic sometimes. He never swithches his feet, always the lead foot follow by the trailing foot, even when going after an elusive opponent. Watch FMJ-Hoya fight and you wioll see what I mean.

You asked if it was ok to be walking around for two months with that weight loss? In Hoya's case, it was alright if he was a contestant for a beauty contest but for a boixing match, when you loss muscle mass, you loss strength as well. You will rpobably gain some speed because fast twicth muscles are stimulated in exercises associated with losing weight, but definitely, you will lose power.

Pac doesn't need Void, Void is void. Void is a legend in his own mind.

Ohhhhh ****, Pac talking **** lol. I wonder how come he never say this after he wins a fight during an interview? He knows not to call PBF out directly, everytimes someone does he always deals with them.

As PBF said, Pac can be outboxed and JMM has success against him when he sticks to the game plan so surely Floyd will bring him back to reality. Uncharacteristic of PAC to look past Cotto, but then again Cotto is a deadman walking we all know he's going to lose.

You're right, it's the ring post which KOd Hatton and not Floyd. Floyd has not KOd any fighter above 140.
