Great trainer. However, Pacquiao hasn't changed much like some like to think. He is infact, the same fighter. Roach doesn't seem the guy to fix flaws in his fighters.

He does seem to adapt them to some degree.. There are many world class boxers who seem to want to be with him. Surely there has to be something to his methods.
Do you watch boxing? Never mind, I'll explain... The great torrent of 2012 when a young man by the name of Timothy Bradley, a nice boy, but a little too fond of the fragrant girls and massive head massages.. Anyway, one day he got himself into a bit of bad natured banter with a fine little phillipino man named strawberryonebonus or some such thing. Well those young men didn't see eye to eye At all and so they decided to duke it out... Anyway, the man with the huge cranium (but lesser pay purse), he won he fight (he didn't) and he made his manager a whole mess of cash. ( We still chuckle about how much sweet cane we have). ANYWAY in real life.....where you don't live.....;-) .....
Sorry, I am actually listening to SRL in an interview. The man is unreal, if he is real.. Which I know sounds daft, but it isn't. Very honest. Doesn't remember fighting Duran ...1st fight
This begs the question, was Arizas "milkshakes" responsible for Khans newly improved chin, which abandoned him at the same time as Ariza?
Khan just isn't that good. They've clearly not worked on his flaws that were shown up AGAIN in the Peterson fight. Not everyone can be James Toney on the inside, or even Ricky Hatton, but for ****'s sake at least learn how to spoil properly and not get hit repeatedly with hard shots. I think because of the perceived home town judging and the fact that Lamont tested positive, it was used an excuse for the defeat and allowed them to continue as they were doing. Bad decision clearly.
Roach isn't a great boxing trainer, I haven't seen any of his boxers improve their skills to a decent level under him. He gets them in very good condition and teaches them the basics. He's also not the best tactician in my book, although sometimes his fighters don't follow his instruction. But why wasn't Khan completely focused on controlling distance? That should be his game instead of hooking with a hooker
