forget about PBF. If I was Pacman; I would just move on and clean up the 140 division. I feel at 140; Pacman is at his strongest and more natural weight. A fight against Bradley would be exciting and a fight against Malinaggi would sell well and would give him a different style to fight against to keep him sharp. After those 2 fights; I'm sure another guy has established himself as a top 140 such as Khan, Holt, Maidana, Valero, Alexander, etc...

If PBF thinks he is so good; he should try to do something similar and unify the 147 division. No more catchweight fights or making guys fight out of their division. There could be some great fights....PBF vs... Moseley, Margarito, Clottey, Cotto, Berto, etc...

I used to be excited about Pacman vs Mayweather......now I am hoping the fight doesn't happen unless it is a few years if they've cleaned out there respective divisions.

If Pac was there for the long haul then he would probably try to do this but he is in the twilight of his career and is looking to retire after 1 more fight.

JMM was a catchweight fight because floyd couldnt make 140 and marquez wouldnt have made 147 in good shape...I think what happen was you got floyd mixed up with pac....I mean seriously how are you going to demand a 145 catchweight for a belt at a 147 pound belt

Its easy. You tell the guy "we are agreeing to a certain purse split if you come in at 145. You can still defend your title at 147 if you want but because you'll have a huge advantage in the fight, you get less money."

thats basically the agreement Pac and Cotto had

Pac and Cotto agreed on a purse split at 145. Cotto is still allowed to weigh in at 147 and defend his title, but the purse split changes due to the weight penalty. That doesn't mean he can't keep his title.
