I honestly feel what you are saying. Thats why it's called "MATCH MAKING". The top guys in the sport are "matched" up with fighters who will create an exciting fight or a fight that will give their guy the highest amount of accolades possible....some are matched up so they can showcase their abilities. But at this level there are NO gurantees. They've said the same thing about Floyd, DLH, Nard, RJJ, Ali and now Manny.

I am the first one, to **** on those bringing up those "you gotta fight a slick black fighter" to be considerd an atg.. I am the first one to call them out on their racist bull****, but this thread makes no mention of that, so you dont have a reason to bring that up...

I dont know what your going on about in the second half of your thread?? It dosent have anything to do with floyd, race, of w/e... Pac has not fought a fast slick defensive type boxer (like whitaker, mayweather, toney, jones ect...)

and thats a fact, that has nothing to do with race, pac hating, or w.e....

Since thats the only style pac hasnt fought, its obvious people will think thats the style that will solve the pac mystery......

Anyone can be beat if the run into the wrong style. Pac is a great fighter, but he won't beat the **** out of everyone regardless of style.

    Some terrible replies guys!

I think the reason why Pacquiao has easily won his last 4 bouts apart from being good is that they have all been made for his style. None of them are thinkers, slick, fast or have good head and body movement.

Clottey has bad defense, it's not natural for him. He doesn't counter or make you miss, he just absorbs your shots with his high guard.

Cotto is slightly different. He's more of a bully than a boxer but he does have some good skills that's for sure. Though again he totally lacks footwork, body and head movement.

Ricky Hatton I believe could have done a lot better but he just looked way too drained like De La Hoya. Why the heck was DLH even fighting at 147? He looked ill, and shouldn't be fighting anything under 154 at that age.

I think it's obvious when Pacquiao fights someone who has a lot of technical skill defensively, he finds a lot of trouble, especially against Marquez who rocked him quite a few times with some nice counters.

Everyone should know boxing by now. When you keep getting caught by counters, you become too scared to throw as you believe your just going to get countered again, so stop with this bull**** that Manny is going to throw 1231 punches at Floyd... I bet you that Floyd will match Manny Pacquiao when it comes to shots thrown... and Marquez only landed 68 shots on Floyd, only a handfull of them being clean hits.

Great post, you probably clarified my point better than I did hehe. but yeah thats what I am getting at. No doubt Pac is good, but thats what it came down to, styles. Not sure why some of you are getting so defensive, there is no bashing or racism going on. Some people just read and believe what they want to, and not take on the points that are actually there. Anyways, I rest my case.

Though I dont agree with all of it, thats a nice post.:good

I'm not one to think that all of Pac's opponents the past couple of years have been cherry picked.

I believe only the David Diaz fight was really cherry picking for Pac.

DLH was the only fighter I believe out of the group that was made to order for Pac.......DLH right hand is weak, and imo his boxing skill is way overrated.....and I've said this for years, way before there was even a mention of a Pac-DLH fight.

DLH, Hatton, Cotto, and now Clottey.......thats not a bady resume.....in fact its a hell of a good resume.

.......its just too bad Pac has let this drug suspicioun get out of hand.

Highly skilled technicians are Pac's kryptonite.....but lets be real, there are just not many out there.

Marquez, Mayweather, Hopkins.......who else is there in that class of Ring skill and intelligence????

I'm confident that Pac's a PED user. I have no doubt in my mind that he is.......but I'm not going to criticize his resume at 140 lbs and 147 lbs....I think its an exellent resume.

How come no one mentioned Pac's improvement?

Pac is throwing his right hand with authority now, infact knocking down opponenets with his right hand.

Speed has always been there, his ring intelligence improved significantly and his defense as well.

Pac was already a monster when all he had was a left hand! There were a few who could compete with him when he was a one handed fighter, and those few are the elite of the bunch like JMM.

By simply becoming a two handed fighter, he multiplied his threat exponentially.

Another blanket statement by a Pacquiao dick sucker to attempt to make it seem like there is some agenda against Pacquiao.

Pacquiao was favored in all those fights but Oscar. According to Freddie Roach, Oscar had track marks from the IV when he entered the ring against Pacquiao. Of course, ******* dick suckers like yourself will ignore that fact.

I picked Pacquiao to KO Hatton, Cotto, and work Clottey like a heavy bag session as did many other people. That is why he was the FAVORITE.

Against Clottey, Pacquiao was as high as an 8:1 favorite.

Of course, don't let that stop you from sucking this guy's dick some more and pretending these wins were some kind of upset.

That's kind of disrespectful to the fighters whom have lost to Manny. They are not tomato cans or fighters who are un-intelligent. They are not the kind of fighter who Floyd is....but WHO IS? Shane's not....Tim's not, Alexander isn't, Nate, Zab, Ect.....Floyd is a fighter who has his own style.

Manny will and has faught the best. There are others who are considered the best but you can't fight everyone. For the most part Manny has sought out very tough challenges and he's been able to win.

You're the only person who's EVER said Josh has bad Defense. Josh does counter and for the most part he's been successful....except for Manny. Cotto for the most part was successful, so was Ricky, so was MAB, EM and JMM....so was DLH....the common denominator is Manny. For some reason Manny makes his foes look like they've never looked in the past b/c he's so overwhelming and dynamic. But that's not to say his opponents were "EASY".

I BET YOU $1000 that Floyd will never Match Manny in work rate...in even Manny's LOWEST punch out put in a fight. That's just not Floyd's style bro. He's conservative, effecient and accurate. His style isn't one that embraces a high workrate.

Floyd dominated JMM in similar fashion to how Manny dominated Josh...just different stylistically.

Pac was already fighting two fisted by the time he rematched Morales, Mab and JMM......

.....I think he's evolved technically, using the right a little better, but not by the leaps and bounds that most *******s would like to think.

His technical ability is not, and will never be at the elite level.......

Pac's a good boxer, and an elite puncher.
You add in that his stamina and workrate is phenominal, and it =Great fighter.
