pac had previously said they would prefer the mayweather fight, so why didn't they take it if they could have?

This proposed 70-30 split, we call this the fine art of "Tawaran" or haggling in Filipino.

I'm very sure that Team Pacquiao would be more than satisfied with "only" a 55-45 split.

And if they can manage to make the other side agree to a 60-40 split, it would be wonderful.

They're just setting the bar high enough to have a lot of room for negotiations.

ok, fair enough. i couldnt keep myself updated last summer so missed that news. thats impressive but still i believe pac deserves the bigger share because he is the better fighter pfp and he is the one actually making this fight possible. had hatton came down a few divisions it woulda been different but im sure its hard for his pride making less money than a smaller man.

If Hatton is the 140lb king then Pacquiao is also P4P#1.

Because Pac has a few fights left before retiring, and what better way to exit win or lose against the former number#1. Fighting Hatton first will give PBF the chance to come out of retirement and get a tune up.:hey

Since when does being p4p 1 mean anything?

Hatton is huge draw like it or not, it doesn't matter if Pac is better at everything and will kill him in 1 round, its about who can get big numbers and Hatton does that as good as anyone.

Pacquiao isnt greedy, he just knows that he's the p4p king and he's fighting someone who is an arguable p4p top 10. he deserves the bigger payday, but the problem is if Hatton doesnt get 50/50 he might choose fight mayweather who may well offer him a better deal.

it is just pac is being brainwash by the people around him. pac will fight no matter what is the offer to him. as what he said in the interview after the hoya fight was
int: pac whom do you want to fight next?
pac: its my job to fight in the ring and train hard and it's my promoter (bob) to find me an opponent

To Pac its about who is the hottest in the market right now and who everybody wants a piece of.

To hatton its about how much he can bring on the table.

To this thread, wer all greedy ina way.
