Pac fans should pray for a Clottey victory.
(bad things if Cotto wins & this fight is made...)

Floyds resume above 140 is decent.

No one wanted to fight him at 140. Leaving Gatti as the biggest name there.

Although look at his last 3 fights.

Baldomir - The number 1 WW, Lineal Champion etc.

DLH - The number 1 LMW at the time.

Hatton - the Lineal 140 champion.

Kind of hard to argue against that.

Considering that Cotto had yet to fight at 147 when Floyd fought Baldomir and Cotto had just beat Mosley one month prior before Floyd beat Hatton.

And well before the Hatton fight Floyd was saying he wanted time off from boxing.

Mosley decided to take the rest of 06 off. Then decided to step aside for his boss.

i mean, the dates dont match up when you look at stuff.

After Pacquaio if Mayweather continues to fight. He should fight Cotto if hes on top. Mosley is a pointless fight now, he's pushing 40.

my 12yo niece could give me the info you just cited off boxrec. the reason there are forums such as esb is because there are fans who have more knowledge beyond stat sheets. i know who baldomir is and what he can do regardless of what belt fell on his lap. i know who oscar is and how he compares to 10 years ago. i know who hatton is and what he brings to 140 let alone 147. i also know that you know enough about boxing to understand how what you wrote doesnt accurately reflect the reality of the situation. im not knocking you for being a fan of floyd, the guys good. i just think you should be more honest about what his accomplishments really amount to. he may yet prove to be as good as he says he is but he sure hasnt done that yet.

Some of the ******s here just need to die as it's insulting to humanity to see people like this.

So let's face it, when Cotto fights Pac it's unfair and Pac MUST move up in a 100% fair fight. But when Mayweather is rumored to fight Pac he SHOULD move down and is a sissy for fighting a smaller man.

I understand the Baldomir thing, he got lucky. But there is no denying who what he did.

Oscar was the number 1 MW and not by accident.

Hatton was no different at 147 against Floyd then he would of been at 140.

Hatton weighed 154 against Floyd. He weighs 154 at Jr Ww. :deal

This is rubbish - Pac will beat Cotto. He's too fast and will keep that up for 12. I genuinely don't think Cotto's as good as people are making out. I think Floyd and Pac beat him easily. Mosely could probably do him too. I do not want to see this fight for 2 reasons. Mayweather and Arum !

i would say oscar was #1 by accident. he won the title from a guy who was himself given the title (ok, he won it from an unknown, big whoop).
hatton was no where near the same fighter at 147 as he was at 140. common sense ahould tell you that and the fight tapes should confirm it for you. whether he weighs the same means little unless he is fighting the same guys. his punches wont have the same effect on natural welters and his chin wont stand up the same either.

Pac Cotto is a ****ing amazing match. Look what happened with Cotto Judah. Great fight. Pacs a better fighter than Judah

In SOME way this is a more exciting fight than Pac Floyd

Pac Floyd is of course the one everyone wants to see, but Cotto's more attacking than Floyd, this would be an unbelievably good match up

According to Roach, Void should have waited until after the Pac/Hatton fight before he signed to fight Marquez. Pac/Mayweather fight is what the public wants to see, yet Void refuses to fight Pac. If Pac fights Cotto, that will be really something.

Why should Floyd fight Pac who you probably pick to beat him in his comeback fight after 18 months?
    :patsch
