nice dig... well, this prediction is before floyd vs mosley. after mosley's performance against floyd, people now change their predictions. mosley is sh0t but still have a one shot power to KO pac.
Yup, and to be fair, 1 1/2 years is long enough to change a boxer. I mean, even 1 fight could change your views on certain fighter. Like that Bradley vs Alexander. Before that fight, some are giving Bradley a chance to upset Pacquiao. But after that, almost no one is giving Bradley a chance.
I thought you were stalking me or trying to make me look stupid Yey times have changed, but i am still of them opinion that a prime Shane beats Pac.... But my opinions of Pac have gone up since then and down on Shane as hes obviously not half the fighter he was.. I give him a punchers chance but thats it... I think Manny is leery of Shane early then does what he does and overwhelms Shane with his speed... I think Manny stops him in 8ot 9 rounds as Shane just cant pull the trigger.
Really? Over 40% think Mosley wins this one? :think Or is it just *******s trying to make the win look good?
I think Roach is confident in Mannys boxing ability to the point he thinks Manny will outbox Shane for 12 rounds. Thats why I think Pacman was using Margarito as a punching bag for 12 rounds because by the 4th round I saw Pacman hurting Margarito to the body and he could of stopped him then, but I think that wasnt part of the plan and Pacman began toying with the larger man. Margarito is no Mosley, but it still helps Pacman get ready to go the distance with another big man. I expect Shane to be successful with the jab as he was with Mayweather the first 2 rounds and then abandon it when he starts getting countered. Shane has the superior one punch power, but Mannys speed and his own body punching will surprise Shane. Manny must be very careful for even a wounded Mosley is dangerous. I got Pacquiao by unanimous decision. Wouldnt be surprised if either one or both took a knee.
I looked at the poll results and was like, wtf??? Then I realized this thread was made in '09... ...anyway, this fight is another case of one guy having nothing more than a puncher's chance....
Pacfights are always like this, big underdog few years ago now huge favourite Pac will box with mosley till mosleys stamina drops then gives him a beating. Richardson throws in the towell in round 7 or 8.
I dont think mosley is that powerfull, he was unable to drop cotto or collazo back in 2007, and he had all the trouble in the world with mayorga in 2008. Who is one of the easiest guys to hit. He knocked margarito out but look how many powerpunches he landed, Pac will be moving thus making it difficult to land that many big shots. Sure he stunned floyd but did nothing since, truth is mosley is old and has a small puncherschance, but pacs chin is very good and he can take welterweight shots. Despite that im pretty sure roach will work on a gameplan that keeps pac save till mosley slows down, Mosley can win via ko but he is no julian jackson or g-man either, im really going with a pac midround stoppage.
I agree with you for the most part. I do think Mosley still has ko power, but he cant finish an opponent like he used to. Cotto was prime when he beat Mosley and used angles to avoid his power. Collazo got dropped twice before going the distance. Collazo also went the distance with Berto and Hatton I think Collazo is not a bad fighter at all. Mosleys punchers chance vs Mayweather almost was enough to produce an upset and its too bad he couldnt finish him off, but if he can hurt and catch Floyd he has chances to do the same to Pacquiao.
Can't really blame Mosley for not putting Floyd away. Floyd, even though he was seriously hurt, was aware enough to trap Shane's arm and hold him until he was able to recover.
