when you get to a point where you understand what is happening in the ring, you wont need to go by what a fighter says. when mikey beats pac, which is starting to look like the most probable fight for him, you may find yourself reassessing what you thought you knew. or, you may just choose to blame pacs age in order not to deal with being wrong.
If you're being honest with yourself, you know Pac's age and 2 year layoff is going to be the only reason he loses to any of these three guys. If all three guys don't want a win to be discredited, then fight someone who isn't smaller and going to be nearly 43 years old and hasn't fought in 2 years.
im always honest with myself. yes, of course pacs age is the main reason he would lose today. in his prime, he beats mikey and crawford without much trouble. spence would always be a tough out for him, in his prime i would make it a toss up. today, spence hurts him, mikey outboxes him, and i make him a very live dog against crawford. i actually favor him slightly vs crawford..
You're referring to a Pacman from Yeeaaars prior. Thurman pressed him the second half of the fight and made it a very tough for pacman. Spence is much bigger and tougher than Thurman and his style is pressure but he can also box with the best of them. Also people like to emphasize how Spence couldn't get rid of a lightweight. Theres nothing wrong with that, some light weights are very good fighters and tough. Prime example being Duran vs hagler. That fight was actually very close up until the championship rounds when hagler poured it on a little more.
Plenty of people didn't go into survival mode including jmm Bradley pbf and horn just name a few. Pac isn't unbeatable Spence will know that pac is dangerous early and box accordingly after that he will take him apart and show him who's boss.
PBF def went into survival mode. Lowest percentage of punches landed on any of his opponents. Scolded by his dad midway through for fighting scared. Clottey went into survival mode. Rios was afraid to go to war, but he went on to go to war w/ years later Danny. Aligieri tried to box Pac, but stood and traded w/ Spence. Vargas tried to box Pac, but stood and traded w/ Mikey. Broner went into survival mode, but walked down or stood and traded with Mikey and Porter. Matthysse tried to box, but Pac made him quit. Mosley ran from Pac, but stood and traded w/ Clenelo. Horn was getting beaten, so the only way he could cope was constantly fouling. All I'm saying is don't be surprised if Spence/Crawford/Mikey go into survival mode against Pac.
Yeah i dont rate spences power much either but mikey a defensive counter puncher, his goal was survival only. It wont be spences power that beats pac, will be accumulation, youth and spences size.
And his age would be a very reasonable reason why he would now lose. The Pac of Oscar, Ricky and Miguel days stops both Spence and Mickey on the same evening. The current version might have enough left to deal with Mickey, but Errol is probably a reach too far for the nearing 43 year old Manny.
Wrong! How did pbf go into survival mode when he outworked and outlanded pac? On top of that had one of his easiest fights in years. Lmfao! Spence nor crawford would go into survival mode against pac. They are both better than every fighter you listed with the exception of pbf.
Crawford didn't try to KO Postol who is the most skilled guy he ever fought. No coincidence there. Pac is more skilled, harder hitting, and faster than Postol even at this age.
You mean the same pac who couldn't beat jmm clearly and went life and death with Bradley?? Both Crawford and Spence give any version of pac hell.
If this fights happens, a win-win for the Pacman in terms of legacy. Never fought a circus fight or worst - a youtuber
Crawford damn near shut postol out. Crawford beat the **** outta horn a guy who beat up and defeated pac.
