why not...this would be his first fight on LW and will be the fight to test the waters at LW not to mention going for a belt while doing it...i think it would be stupid to jump right at Baby bull or Casa at this stage of his career

I agree. How about that, David Diaz as tune-up fight for Pacman in LW division. :bbb

As for the Marquez fight, small possibility of happening. Marquez wants the bigger purse. Hence Pacman's team will just drop JMM and move on to another fight.

i hope marquez will come to his senses and must accept that he should get the lesser share compared to pacquiao. pacquiao in order to get to where he is now, always gets the lesser share against barrera and morales.

i hope for marquez-pacquiao II, but if it doesn't work, a tune-up fight with david diaz is ok just to test the water at lightweight.

I agree with the previous reply that Diaz will be tougher than people think. Diaz has looked good when fighting southpaws and I think the jump to 135 will take away much of Pac's power. Diaz is at least 2 weight classes bigger than Pac and I don't think that will translate well for Manny.

Would love to see it in Chicago, though!

If pacmans fights are going to continue to be boring as his last fight, then I have no reason to watch him. The last two years he's yet to be in a meaningful fight as well.

hmm... i guess to you pbf's recent fights were more exciting. :nut:patsch

pac wanted to fight and give the fans their money's worth. the other guy didn't kinda like your hero.

What, ... pbf? I don't think he's exciting and what the hell do he have to do with anything?

I wouldn't care if pacman was boring just as long as he was trying to fight the top contenders in his division. Instead, he hasn't been a meaningful fight in over two years! If he's not going to fight the best, at least make it an exciting fight.

I called it in the other thread when Pacman announced he was moving to 135. I saw this one coming a mile away.

But Casa up to this point isn't FIGHTING old. And that's what is important.

Surely I would rather see Pacman fight Soto or Guzman. But if he moves up, I feel a champion (one of the real ones) is in order. Not the paper champion who just got by Morales in controversial fashion.

Pacman can fight whoever the hell he wants. If he wants to go after history, he'll fight Diaz. And why shouldn't he, because he HAS to fight Marquez?

The Barrera fight proved that a Marquez rematch would be a 'boxing' chess match. Nobody wants to see a chess match and people would rather see a war. And who the hell wants to see pac getting beat by decision. Wouldn't prove anything other than Pac getting outboxed.

PAC is a brawler. People pay money to watch him brawl...not box. Bottom line: Pac IS avoiding JMM...so what? It ain't like there's no other 130 pounders that JMM can fight except flawed boxers that have already lost. Let JMM fight Soto, Guzman or Valero. Its obvious JMM couldn't attract flies to shiyat.

And what's this BS that he has to fight the best at 135 immediately? Let Pac get acclimated at 135 and if it means fighting the weakest champ at that weight, I see no problem with it

Wow Black great post!..Yes Beating Casa makes PAC a top dog because Casa is avoided. Meaning PAC has superiority over everyone at 135 beating Casa...

Simply Beat Casa be the best 135 in the world and 130 to boot along w/JMM

I agree with most of your post but yes let Pac beat Cassa and shut up all the haters once and for all . that will make PAC p4p#1 no matter what PBF does...

Pac has paid his dues, no way he's taking a lesser cut. If he doesn't fight JMM because of this, so be it.
Why don't the JMM fanboys tell their hero to get his manhood back from CHRIS JOHN.
