As a trainer I use Pacman as an example of how to fight and to train. Straight punches and solid defense followed up with a killing instinct when he has another fighter hurt. The man is fast and skilled, he is disciplined and simply is a boxing phenomena. Whether he is or has used any enhancing drugs will not change these facts. I have a young amateur named Victor Bravo who in my opinion could one day be the next Pacman. I use Pacman's training videos and fights to inspire and train young Victor.

A fight between Pacman and Mayweather would be interesting but it is not the only good fight out there. I don't think Floyd wants this fight.

Pac man is a hell of a fighter but I wouldn't necessarily use his footage to show young fighters proper techniques. Pac gets way off balance a lot and he takes a lot of shots to the head. If your fighters aren't blessed with the same strength and speed and as Pac, then they're gonna get the **** beat out of em.

absolutely agreed. pac is a great fighter but it's his athletism that let's him get away with some of his balance problems. he's kind of like a roy jones where he's so athletic that he can break the rules and throw punches from all different angles and get away with it. i would also go so far as to say that it's his killer instinct that affects his balance because he's so eager to get to his opponent, and punch he throws has it's done with power and the intent to hurt you. with that said, i am still a huge pac fan and he gives you your money's worth every time you see him fight

How the hell are you going to teach Pacs style??? That straight left to the body, that's a great technique. Most people is content with jabbing to the body for distraction but Pac throws it to hurt, just ask Mab and Cotto

I love how this isn't about Manny, just about putting better sanctions on fights.
Every topic on this forum is about either Manny doesn't do or does do steroids.
No topics are on fixing the drug policy in boxing.

This is a personal attack on Manny Pacquiao and it's based on absolutely nothing but some dude who his son has to fight him.

It is hard to find a flaw in Pacman. He is as solid of fighter as I have ever seen. If anything, the only thing I see is that he likes to trade too much. He takes shots he doesn't need to just to get his shots in but this is why we all watch him right? He is the exact opposite of Mayweather in this area.

Luke stop with the ****** ****, just come out and say you want manny's cum in your mouth. It's ok to be a ***, manny doesn't want random testing in the last 30 days leading up to the fight, now he's trying to sue. ***** move, take the test and then beat the **** out of floyd. (well try at least)

interesting discussions and very thought provoking. Funny how people can see things so differently. More than a handful our our boxing training facilites in San Diego use Pacq as an example of what NOT to do. His lack of head movement and the way he jumps straight back (not side step) are basic building block skills. Manny has been able to get away with them - probably due to fighting sub par competition- but these prove wrong fundamentally in the amateur divisions.

Bradley would be a better opponent anyway.

Knock the ****** dick sucking insults off. I'm 27 years old. Do you think that **** has any effect on me?
Get the **** out of here with that bull****.

You don't even know the full story, go educate yourself, come back, and then type some other generic Floyd generated bull****.

LOL it is strange. I have stood next to some of the best trainers in our area and watched Pacman's fights and training tapes. None have seen it as you describe. One trainer has trained world champions and many contenders and he thinks Pacman is one of the most complete fighters in history. However, that same trainer picked Cotto to win, strange indeed.

that is fine if he has pacman's natural ability but he IMO is by no means a good example of how u should fight...his power and speed makes up for his poor balance and jumping in with his punches...floyd is a far better example of what young boxers should watch....but good luck I am a trainer myself and it is not as easy as most on here think:good

U think so? He is a GREAT fighter but i would think most would say he is too unorthodox? I picked him to ko cotto because cotto doesn't get out of the way
