Hatton's open alot, yes but so is Pac. So its a moot point. Daiz hardly went to pac's body nor was he fast enough to fire back when Pac was unleashing punches on him. Not going to be the case with Hatton
The difference is Pac will be 4 and 5 shots to the head and back out dancing in and out throwing combos all night and Hatton won't be able to unload like that on Pac, his work will be sloppy mauling work, he will need to stop Pac to get the decision.
He's had bad moments is recent fights. He's open to be hit. So what. If you don't by the hype you'll see the skill is there. Sorry if you don't like the way he fights. Or think that he has no skills because he chooses to fight the way he does. What we are talking about is hand speed, foot speed and balance. Sorry to say pal he's showed all three in almost every fight he's had. Including the mayweather fight.
Hatton that beat Tszyu would KO Pac, but the Hatton that fought Collazo would lose to tonight's Pac, this coming from a big Hatton fan
I agree but the Hatton that fought Tszyu isn't going to come back, old fathertime is catching up. Doesn't help eating pies and drinking beer between fights and ballooning up and down constantly.
You are very biased against Hatton. Here are the facts. - Hatton is not washed up. He lost to Mayweather. - Pacman fought the weakest champ at 135. - Hatton is the best at 140. - Hatton is better in every way than Diaz. - Beating Diaz is not beating Hatton. I feel bad for Pacman and the Filipino people. Going up this much in weight is not safe for Pacman. He had trouble with Barerra, Morales and JMM and now he is going to beat Hatton? If the fight happens, I will be pretty upset with Hatton for taking it.
I think the problem is that in most of his fights since 2005 he's looked good from most of the fight but always had some sketchy moment or something. I'll agree that he is on the decline. And probably has been on the decline since 2005. The shots he walked through in the Tszu fight were incredable and he's been wabbled by much less several times since. He doesn't take punches like he used too. Which is probably the area of greatest decline. I don't think that his overall skills have diminished nearly as much. He's still a very good fighter. And probably would be a world class opperator if he could take punches better or fight a smarter fight.
I'm not biased against Hatton, i'm just simply stating the facts that he isn't as good as he was 2 1/2 years ago and probably never will be, anyone can see his skills are declining and it has nothing to do with the Mayweather fight. He gets hit and hurt more, his head movement isn't as good and his work in close has become sloppy, he is smothering his own work which he didn't do before. His punch resistance is totally gone, he'll be like Morales towards the end of his career soon. I give Hatton 4/5 more fights and he'll be retired.
Pac would kill hatton ... i'm going on record to say it ... Pac is too fast ... and throws straight punches ... something that Hatton can't defend.
pac wasn't open that much in this fight. just look at how he slipped punches, blocked punches w/ his arms and elbows, head and side-to-side movement. even david's corner mentioned that he was only hitting pac on his arms and elbows. pac has definitely improved defensively and he also showed this in the marquez rematch. pac's defense is under-rated since he's such an offensive dynamo.
Hey PacDbest, can you come to my thread about Pac v PBF and tell everryone what you think ... no matter if you think the fight will not happen or you think it will. I remember talking to you about it before --
no question about it, he carried all his speed to 135 and had plenty of power too. I don't see how Hatton beats Pac, Pac is way too fast for him. I suppose if he is allowed to lean on Pac throughout the fight maybe he would be able to wear him down and get a KO. That is his only chance though.
