i dunno. but if pac loses to hatton, i don't think it would harm his legacy that much given that 140 will already be his 6th weight division and he will be the definite underdog in this fight. but if pac manages to win, he goes wrungs up the ATG list.

actually, it is hatton in a no-win situation here. even if he wins, he will be accused of beating on a much smaller guy. if he loses, his stock definitely plummets and his legacy is diminished. the only upside for him here is that he gets a multi-million dollar payday again just like in the mayweather fight. the pressure is on hatton. but i guess the money will be enough for him to take the fight. also, it dosn't hurt to have a name like pac (#1 p4p fighter) in your resume although you'll look like a bully in doing so.

pac has a great career - being now a 5-weight and 3-time lineal champ. i think it's about time he had a "cash-in" fight w/ hatton after giving us such great fights. and who knows.... maybe this fight will turn out to be a classic. a pac win here if it happens will just be insane... he can become a six-weight and a 4-time lineal champ. i don't think any fighter has ever accomplished such a feat.

Yeah basically Hatton is in a no win situation accept for the money. But he'll be getting his second chance at the #1 p4p guy and this time the weight tables will be turned.

You forgot to say that he is P4P#1

Just a question......what does a lineal champion mean?

    yep. he's definitely p4p #1 right now.

lineal champion is being the man who beat the man in a certain weight division. this denotes a certain lineage or history when it comes to this title. it also happens when the acknowledged top 2 fighters in a weight division fight. this is all regardless of the ABC belts. i think kg can explain this better.

Yeah be careful when guys start throwing around terms like Linear champion. It doesn't necissarily mean that it was the best guy in the division. Just the guy that beat the best guy. Or in some cases the guy that beat the guy who beat the best guy.

yep. you're supposed to be "THE MAN" of the division when you're the lineal champion. but there are exceptions now like Casa and Erbe who have historical lineage but are not necessarily the best of their division right now. pac, on the other hand, beat the MAN @112, sasakul and @126, barrera, to claim the lineal championships. @130, he and jmm being the acknowledged #1 and 2 of the division fought and pac won thus getting the lineal championship at this weight.

How dominate was Pac's right hand! He threw right hooks that resembled Clottey's left hook! This current spent version of Hatton that didn't even look a little bit impressive against Lazcano has zero shot against Pac!

I'm a little eager to see how an oppnentless Dela Hoya reacts to this dominate performance. Maybe the unthinkable actually happens and Pac moves all the way up to 147 for a one time appearance to fight the Golden Boy in his farewell fight.

    Can you say....
