If they go to WAR than the Pac that fought EM. He is at his Physical Prime when he fought EM. remember Gatti learned how to box and that doesnt mean he was in his prime as soon as that happened. James toney became a more diverse skilled fighter at cruiser and heavyweight doesnt mean he was in his prime then. remember fighters who reach there limits physically realize they have to add more to their arsenal once that doesnt get the job done solely. Some people think they know about boxing but have no idea. :-(

everybody going based on the diaz fight, please note WHO THE **** HE WAS FIGHTING.....

the same guy that santa cruz was washing up and down the ring, the same guy that old man morales beat, and dropped (IMO), and the same guy that got stopped by kendell holt......but most importantly, the SAME GUY THAT GOES TO WAR WITH F LEVEL OPPONENTS !!!

    NOW BACK TO THE TOPIC

no way does a prime morales get beat by pac

****, i dont even think he'll beat a prime barrera....
you *******s need to watch a prime EM, and MAB....the guys you see now are not even a shell of what they once were.....

I said I don't know his best. Now why don't you answer the question instead?

And you cannot just disregard the weight, because as he gained weight his style cahnged some. He was faster and probably a hearder hitter when lighter and facing lighter guys, and lately has added more technique to deal with naturally larger fighters, as well as to imporve himself.

    mexican pride eh?

the barrera that is not yet a boxing machine / techncal genius is more suited to pac's style.

i like morales the most of the three great mexican featherweights because he takes it like a man and he raised pacs hands in victory acknowledging the better man. why can't his fans act like him and quit with these excuses which is always getting many all the time.

yes morales could have beaten pac at 122 where both fighters are a beast but it is not absurd to think that pac also beats morales at 122. imo, at 122 morales beats pac 6 of 10 times, 126 morales beats pac 5 of 5 times and at 130 morales beats pac 4 of 10 times. thats close i can see these two as a fighter and as a warrior.

Took him to school? You saw a schooling , I saw Pac winning. I saw a ref warn two fighters to watch their heads every other round and when they collided heads and caused a cut the ref said it was by a punch:blood

I also saw and heard the crowd yell and cheer even when Morales was only punching gloves and even missing:deal

No one's denying the skills of those guys in their primes, however to say that a prime Pac can't beat a prime EM just sounds of pure sourgraping. I understand, you're more than likely Mexican descent so it's convenient to say that hey if EM was prime Pac wouldn't have a chance. Yeh, it's real easy to say go watch a highlight reel of EM and MAB then you *******s would understand. I say maybe you yourself should watch a highlight reel of Pac (I'd venture to say it's alot more impressive) and maybe some of that Mexican bias wouldn't cloud your judgment. The reality is, Pac always has a chance no matter how big of an underdog he would be....thats already a given. He has a track record for it. Not that he would be even the underdog in a prime for prime battle with EM.

EM's great. Part of his greatness is also what makes Pac great--that willingness to fight. Unfortunately he is not blessed with Pac's physical attributes. He's not blessed with Pac's speed and power. But they do share that same warrior mentality. With that said, a fight between the two will always have brawls, and to that effect Pac will always have an advantage over EM....and yes, that includes prime for prime.

A past his prime Morales already beat Pac in their first fight after coming off a loss to MAB in their rubbermatch. Then he fight Raheem and we know how that went, and then he fought Pac on almost even terms before being stop in the 10th round. He didn't have the legs anymore to go 12 rounds, because he did absorb a lot of shots from Pac up until then. Throw out the third fight, he should never have taken that fight, he was obviously a spent bullet.

I don't like using hyperbole for anything and it's wrong in this case, as Pac *could* beat a prime Morales, but I would favor Morales heavily prime for prime (although not at lightweight, Morales looked far from impressive in any of those fights, he had a lot of wear and tear by then).

We can't really say when Pac was at his best since Pac is technically not out of his prime yet. But we can assess what fight/s so far where we've seen him at his best.

For me, the Pac that fought JMM the 2nd time up to the current Pac is where he's at his best. Do you think the 1-2 combo, come forward no matter what Pac that fought EM would survive against JMM? We saw what happened in their first fight, JMM quickly figured Pac out and proceeded to win a lot of rounds off him. It was a draw mainly because of the KDs Pac scored. Otherwise, the fight would've gone to JMM.

The Pac that I saw in the 2nd JMM fight was an improved and, dare I say, a more dangerous fighter. The strength and speed that he had when he fought EM was still there but this time he's more of a thinking fighter and have added more dimensions in his game. I saw an improved head and feet movement that we failed to see in the EM trilogy as well as an improved right. He also does not rush his shots anymore instead he waits and times his shots. Surely you guys saw how better he is with his timing recently.

Then there was the David Diaz fight...

I would take Morales too prime for prime. some people forget how much of a bad ass he was. He could box and he could bang. I remember vintage Morales and it would have been a lot clearer for many too but they were on the Hamed Bandwagon till the wheel fell off!lol I bet no one on here will admit to being on his bandwagon.

I feel that marquez is past his prime but he is still an effective fighter. What you saw in the rematch is what people in the biz call PERFECT MATCHMAKING. Pacs people felt Marquez aged enough to the point where he could be competitive but Pac will still win. Well He did look better but I dont think thats to his credit but more to Marquez being longer in the tooth. Even then I still feel Marquez won the rematch
