I disagree. I have never noticed a significant decline from JMM in the rematch. His speed, timing, accuracy, power, etc. were still virtually the same as the first fight. His power was obviously still there as he wobbled Pac a couple of times. Same with his speed, if you watched the fight closely there were alot of times where Pac didn't see where JMM's punches where coming. His timing and accuracy where great in my opinion. He was finding his mark majority of the time especially when in conjuntion with his combinations(although I would say Pac did have his moments where he would block JMM's punches). And I dont know who your referring to as Pac's people. But here in ESB age was never a matter when the fight happened. Most people here recognized Marquez was still a very lively opponent and was still virtually as good as the first fight. He was never even half close to being shot or past his prime especially if we consider who his opponents where other than Pac.
I feel as if some folks on here have a misconception of what PRIME means. Just cause your past your peak doesnt make you a shot fighter. Maybe not on ESB but from watching the jaca fight and watching the 1st fight vs Pac i can tell you Marquez hand speed isn't the same. When i said Pacs people i ment his "Management and handlers". Come on dog hes pushing 35 and fighting at 135. At those lower weight classes majority of the fighters arn't effective fighters once they hit the mid thirties mark.
I see... those beating pac gave to morales still haunts erik's fans still... Prime morales was 122-126, prime pac 130-135... hard to match them since their primes weren't in the same division.
No offense but justifying your argument through that fight with Jaca is pretty weak IMO. Last time I checked Pac is miles ahead of Jimrex Jaca, so is Juarez(who JMM outboxed to death) and so is MAB. Yes he's pushing at 35, but we also have to consider his opponents. He never had any 'wars' in his entire professional carreer to suggest that he's 'old' in boxing terms. Almost all his fights were against nobodies. The 2nd fight speaks for itself chino. You could argue he slipped a bit. But only a tiny bit. To suggest that he has significantly declined is ridiculous.
That's a completely ignorant comment! JMM has fought more "world champs" than Pac has. A simple look at his resume will remove any doubt!:deal As a matter of fact JMM was already fighting and beating world champions before most here knew who Pac was!
