Pacqauio trying to force the stoppage over Margarito was a sight to behold

Yes I must say Pac put on a performance. Although it was a against a Margarito that was recently knocked out by Mosley and had been caught cheating. Not to mention a catchweight of 150 for a vacant 154 title that Margarito won against a no name opponent in Mexico (as he was suspended from fighting in the US, a year after the Mosley fight)

But taking nothing away from Pac though, he was letting his hands go. No sarcasim, just real talk.

Unfortunately for Pac, Mayweather is no Margarito.

 

the only think marg had was size, the dude was such a slow under skilled fighter you think his 20lb weight disadvantage was going to help him ?

that fight was a joke from the start, pac was an elite WW while marg was a journeyman WW that never did anything worthy above WW. a 20 lb weight advantage is not going to help a fighter against a true elite fighter in pac.

smm beat the hell out of marg, destroyed him a year and a half prior to this fight. marg came back against some total tomato can in Mexico.

the ONLY time a weight advantage is going to help a fighter is when he is close to the level of skill that his opponent is it. I know pac was hurt from some body shots but come on now, you guys claiming he Broke some ribs and still showed NO affects in the ring ? impossible, NO WAY you break your ribs and you can sill throw every shot in the book, move all around the ring in the exact same tempo you had in the very 1st round..

if marg was as skilled as even a Chris Algerie with that speed, that ring IQ but 20 lbs heavier then that would've made this an impressive win.

for me, I was very disappointed in pac for even taking this cherry of an opponent. there were so many fighters that would've been a million x better than fighting a guy coming off a brutal beating, a year suspension and fighting against him at a catchweight for a vacant god damn title.

and I agree, floyds size advantage will mean nothing in his fight with pac. i'm starting to be swayed in the may pac fight. i'm not 100% sure but I think he might've gotten old over night.

I know chino style is all wrong for Floyd but I studied both chino fights against the ghost and canelo fights.

the fact of the matter is, Floyd was not the same fighter in the chino fights that he was in the the ghost and canelo fights. if could've really been chino that made Floyd look so terrible but I think its more than just the style of chino.

I think I need to review them a couple more times to be sure if he is Floyd jr or Floyd sr the 2nd. this pac of 2015 is much more dangerous than the pac of 2012,13,14. that jmm fight changed pac for the greater. most think that hurt him, that helped him tremendously.

Pac didn't want to fight Margarito, it was Arum that pushed the fight. Pac had said that Margarito didn't deserve a fight with him.

 

For a cherry pick of an opponent, Margo really put a beating on Pacquiao's body... To the point his face looked like he had sun poisoning after the fight.

margo was dangerous. Just because one is slow doesn't mean they're incapable of being dangerous. Look at Golovkin. He's slower than a snail and all it takes his ONE punch to land for you to get hurt. Yeah Gennady is a much better boxer, but Margo showed against Pac with one punch he could hurt you because he did it.

maybe, just maybe we have completely different views on toe2toe, exactly what is your view on a fighter that goes toe2toe ? fighters like marg and prov level fighters are very willing to go toe2toe but, I always hear you saying NO ONE goes toe2toe with pac. well, when was the last time you saw pac go toe2toe ? and what is toe2toe for you ?

This is such a good point, lol. Pacquiao never goes toe-to-toe if he doesn't have to. If he can outbox you, he will. I think the last opponent was Marquez in 2012 and spots with Bradley. However, he pretty much boxed Rios and Algieri.

 

What ever reason he had for saying it, he was right and I respect Pac for it. Margarito was coming of a beating from Mosley in which he was caught trying to load his wraps, a year suspension and a decision over a Tijuana doorman in Mexico. No way in the world Margarito deserved a fight with Pac. It reinforces what a scumbag Iceberg Arum is.

And Margo is a bum. Got through his career on loaded gloves, once busted he lost every fight. You don't give cotto the props for beating him in the 2nd fight, or don't give cotto props for fighting a loaded glove Margo.
