He fought alot of tough MFs at WW. Mosley Bradley Marquez have never been properly stopped. Margarito was a tough MF and much much bigger Cotto has only had mercy stoppages Rios is tough and that fight was right after Pacquiao was KOd so his confidence was probably not all there. It's not his power that's gone. It's his agression, relentlessness and punch volume that has left him because he can no longer abuse PEDs as blatantly and also because of age and the fact that having been stopped will always make you a bit more hesitant in your attack
It's not that Pacman doesn't have the power, it's more that his darting in and out style means he never throws his most powerful punches And as he gets older and his reflexes diminish, he does more darting out that he used to do
Manny has that mysterious and deceptive Bruce Lee Asian Chi-Force power which I suspect can be partly attributed to Filipino Voodoo and if he were to land one of those Asian Chi-Force bombs flush on the mandible sections of Spence and Crawford - both of whom, due to the complete dearth of punchers on their CVs (sans 1 or 2) and the over abundance of featherfists they've fought, I'm still yet to be convinced haven't been cursed by the boxing gods with WMS (Weak Mandible Syndrome) - I firmly believe American ass or back would be hitting the canvas hard and that they would both shell up and put their track shoes on after tasting that power, if they managed to regain consciousness in time to beat the 10 count that is. Margarito BEST PUNCHER Pacquiao: I have to say Manny's punch was big for a small fighter. Hatton BEST PUNCHER ''Quite obviously I would have to say Manny Pacquiao. He just seems to be getting stronger as he moves up in weight.'' Mosley BEST PUNCHER Forrest and Manny Pacquiao: I think that the best puncher would have to be Vernon Forrest because back then I had a pretty good chin and I had never been dropped, and he was the first guy to drop me. His power is a little different than Pacquiao had. But those are the two guys who knocked me down, so those are the two guys that I would have to give it to. I’m leaning more toward Vernon, because he had the heavier punches, whereas Pacquiao’s was more of a flash knockdown where I was dizzy.I don’t know if it was the injury that I had or the punching power that Pacquiao possesses. But I was never buzzed by anybody else like I was by those two guys. JMM BEST PUNCHER Pacquiao: In all the fights I had, nobody hit me harder than him Ledwaba BEST PUNCHER PACQUIAO: When he hit me he hurt me. When he hit me it was different from anyone else. In that fight I was fighting to survive. I just decided I’m getting hurt, the best thing for me is to just retire.
Unless there's been a rule change , what difference does it make if he doesn't KO someone? a wins a win, and Broner was well and trully schooled by the old master.
Interesting. You appear to pipe up about Pacquiao using PEDs, even though he has NEVER FAILED A TEST. But your boy Canelo got popped for 2 failed tests and 'but but but it was tainted meat'. Are you saying that so long as there is shade around Canelo and PEDs he should be KO'ing everyone? Should we also say that he is feather fisted because he's not KOing people while he is juicing?
We have to look at it fairly ; - Age - At 147, is his 8th weight division. Naturally, your power diminished going North of your weight.
Sooo... He was roided to the gills, but couldn't actually stop Cotto despite hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink... And then Bayless did a mercy TKO when Cotto could have gone the distance. He was roided to the gills, but couldn't hurt Clottey at all. He was roided to the gills, but couldn't stop or hurt Bradley in the first fight. He was roided to the gills, but couldn't stop "old lightweight" JMM. Then he undergoes VADA testing and dominates Rios so badly that Rios cries in interviews afterwards. Under VADA testing, he hurt and dropped Bradley. Under VADA testing, he dropped Vargas, who had never been down before, and dominated him. Last Saturday, under VADA testing and at the age of 40, he dominated and hurt Broner more than Mikey or Maidana did. Broner tried to walk down Mikey and Maidana in the late rounds, but ran from small, 40 year old, semi-shot, VADA-tested Manny because he was close to being KO'd in the 7th and 9th. Hmmm... So it looks like Pac's power has been the same under VADA testing.
I give fighters who test the benefit of the doubt. Mexico is known to use clen in its cattle. A few years back over a hundred soccer players testes positive for clen. Other boxers who trained in Mexico have tested for clen. Athletes from all over the world have tested for clen after being in Mexico. Canelo went as far as taking a hair follicle test and is now enrolled in VADAs most stringent program. So while the possibilty exists that perhaps Canelo may have been juicing, it is unlikely and based on his actions before and after the failed tests I give him the benefit of the doubt. As far as Pacquiao, if you don't test you can't fail right? Why did he avoid random testing for so long? Why did he demand cut off times for testing? Why did he work with Ariza, and why did his own coach Roach hint that Pacquiao was drinking Ariza's special shakes? Too many whys with Pacquiao.
The same time he move up to 147. Oh look, another coincidence. Knocked down: Mosley, Marquez, Bradley, Algieri, Vargas and Matthysse. His power is still there(visibly hurt just about everyone he fought), it's just that he finally hit the wall.
