There aren't many success stories of older fightrs dropping weight and it being a success.

So Floyd couldn't make 152 or 144? This have me thinking maybe Floyd didn't care about making 144 but that he couldn't.. If he fought a JMW weighting 160+ at 150, he could make 144 out he's just too good for both weight classes...

I still don't understand why he is fighting Algieri at WW, where he is unranked, as opposed to fighting him at 140, where he holds a title and a top 5 ranking (unless you are one of the >50% that scored it for Provodnikov, which I still find to be a little ridiculous and showcases agendas because many of the folks hyping Algieri as Pac's opponent scored the Provodnikov vs. Algieri fight to Provodnikov [I went back through most of the polls and threads; it was oddly suspicious of agenda riding], but hey, maybe that's just me).

he said he cant make 140, froch is rarely under his fighting weight too but he cant make 160 he just takes care of himself well

 

He has had fight night weights for the vast majority of his fights...

I know he didn't for Maidana II, but off the top of my head I remember these from his career:

2013, Alvarez - 150.5 (weighed in at 151)
2011, Ortiz - 150 (weighed in at 146.5)
2006, Judah - 146 (weighed in at 146)
2002, Castillo I - 138.5 (weighed in at 134)

 

floyd's always fought in his weight division rather than boiling down then ballooning in weight over night.
