Good work, SJS. I'm really looking forward to this fight and am still unsure over what's going to happen.
You know, SJS. I haven't told you this before but I really admire your work pre-fight technical analysis on the day of the fight. Thank you man.
That's the sign of a good fight imo! If my Holland/Germany double comes in i may well have an outside bet on Bradley points if it edges out to 8/1.
Na buddy, thankyou. Enjoy the fight :good I have £30 on the Dutch, need to win just to pull level with what I lost yesterday atsch
Made a profit on Russia yesterday and have also had £20 on France to win the tournament at 12/1 (went in to 9's yesterday aswell!). Let's hope Holland win!:good
Pacquiao doesn't use unconventional footwork or else Martinez and so many fast guys on the move are unconventional, he just feels at ease bouncing and keeping his balance to attack from different angles- so it's unexpected assaults based on feints and tremendous activity upstairs, rolls, ducks, penetrates, lets his hands go... Definitely he was a throttling machine in the times he fought Morales. Since stepping up to face Diaz, he showed smoothness and patience and boxing skills to go along with his hard pace imposed. The step in/step out with punches came in the ODLH fight and that was also an excellent input to his game. Like I said, he steps laterally cause he no longer has a strength advantage above 130 pounds. He has to move around and step in unexpectedly with bunches of punches but for a much heavier guy it is harder to speed up as much. He's still explosive in general. He doesn't have an inside game even tho he knows how to break them up by going downstairs and upstairs and switching combo punches. I stink it's more strategy than resilience or know-how to be there and trade short punches, slipping and sliding. Roach is still very wise but maybe his fellow countrymen and cornermen can push him to go and step it up or move more. Timmy leads well cause he tucks his chin and the fact that his head comes along with his left shoulder/left jab it's only a way to step in with punches and be defensive on offense - people never realize this not for Timmy, not for Holyfield, not for Hopkins - if Timmy stepped in with his chin up in the air, he would end up with the same fate Hatton experienced against guys like Pac who are equally accurate, powerful and fast. Tim's game is also based on his awkward stance, very short, chin protected and huge shoulders and punching muscles to unleash bombs in wide loops like the overhand right or str8 rights down the pipe since they are about the same height. He doesn't box in circles or moves laterally but he showed against Peterson that he can pump out a stiff jab and with a very high frequency to keep his opponent from setting him up for the big punch. But I would say this guy loves to break other guy's game rather than build his own gameplan. You can say he feels a ease brawling and smothering opponents in close and against the ropes in a str8 line.
''stick to the ****ing plan, i don't want you looking for him'' Diaz also saw bradley practicing the left uppercut straight right combo, he been watching tapes on manny
Crap thread with no insightful information as usual SJS.What the **** is wrong with you?atsch Seriously though, excellent points as usual.I'd rather stick to Bradley's game plan as I've gave it a bit more thought. And footwork, anticipation,NOT moving in straight lines and a whole truckload of disrespect are the keys here. And an absolute must is anticipating when Masnny's about to throw and taking a quick step and throwing back in that millisecond.Doesn't take a genius to work out Manny hates counterpunching coming his way When he moves towards you,you need to go to Pac's left and throw a short right on the way round.Manny always looks sickened when those short blows come his way when he's trying to attack. His short reach means you get your own variation on Manny's "in-out" style except you reverse it,and instead of using it to attack, you use it to defend THEN attack. SJS,I know you say these guys can't jab,and I'm not saying Bradley is capable of this, but Manny is very susceptible to being put off balance.Every time Manny gets his right foot outside Tim's,Bradley must throw jabs to try and disrupt him or he's gonna be on the end of those fast attacks,so I wouldn't rule it out.Manny is not a good range-finder so this has to be exploited. The spinning you mentioned is an excellent ploy, and that's one thing I definitely think TB can do,and this comes down to showing a complete lack of respect, which is needed here. Manny hates it to the body, and moving up has protected him a lot because of his proportions, but Timmy is squat enough to exploit this(although I always think the short counter jab and hook is what Manny really hates.) Lateral movement and feining are also a must, because straight lines are like feeding a mouse to a python for Manny. But most of all Bradley must fight for twelve rounds in a reactionary and anticipatory manner, because you have to react to Manny more than take it to him and never stop thinking about what Pac's doing. All through the build up,I've fancied Bradley to at least put in a very good performance and maybe get the ten clear rounds needed to get a decision against Manny, but last few days I have a feeling Manny wants to make a point tonight, and I may have been overrating Timmy's abilities. But I'm still totally unsure.:huh
It's either gonna be extremely noobish of me or a genius move but I'm not looking at this fight from a technical perspective at all, I'm just seeing one of the hungriest fighters in the game with an awesome pedigree going in against and ageing, lethargic and disinterested great fighter. I've put £2.50 on Bradley outright, £2.50 on the draw and all my vcash on Pacquiao
I just wrote a long, swagged out post using mad metaphors and **** then a ****ing database error popped up, I cba now. All that matters is that I'm betting on Munroe to beat Quigg.
