Well, Pacquaio is unwilling to take tough, risky rights these days.
He has become more and more of a business man à la Floyd but I have to say Floyd is taking on the tougher opponent in Ortiz.

Here he goes and fights another veteran. Clottey-Margarito-Mosley. His level of opposition is really slipping.

Paul Williams-Martinez-Bradley-Khan, there are many more credible opponents out there.

It is very disappointing to see a the pound for pound no 1 not taking on the best fighter but rather electing to cash in.

This is true but you could also say he has fought all the big names throughout his career.Margo for me is his best win in the last few years, he took a bit of punishment in that fight aswell.

I think Pac would blast away Khan and Bradley right now, Martinez and williams could add a lot more wear on Pacman. Hopefully he is looking to fight Mayweather after the JMM fight so is avoiding a dangerous fighter before facing mayweather.

Plus from whats been reported looks like he has a huge entourage all on his payroll, maybe he needs to build a nest egg by facing big names, faded or not.

Pacquaio took on Mosley only after Floyd exposed him and took on Margarito only after Mosley exposed him now he's taking on Marquez after Floyd exposed him at a higher weight class seems like a safety first camp to me. Not much at taking risk to make for a more entertaining fight.

Boxing is a business when money is involved it becomes a business. The fighters that don't go by that usually end up broke.

Pacmans best days are over. The Mosely fight showed us that. Now that he can't roid, where's the 9 & 11 punch combos? The unilateral movement? Gone!If the Pac who foght Mosely or Margo shows up against Floyd Pac is gonna take quite an ass-kickin and a TKO!

He did the business at 140 destroying the lineal champ, then knocked off the best at 147 one by one. Mosley was really his only **** and meaningless money fight, and fans were calling for the Marquez bout instead. Now he's fighting Marquez and it's a cherry pick? GTFO. The fact Ortiz is ranked the 2nd best welter after only one fight there where he showed many flaws and was knocked down twice is evidence there is no significant fights left for Pac other than Mayweather, who was on vacation from May last year. The Marquez fight is a conclusion to their rivalry. Bradley and Judah were the other options and they don't add anything much to his legacy.

I think the Marquez fight is needed as it answers a lot of questions that people have had about Pac's move to WW. Its a great measuring stick to judge Pac's *improvement*.

Pacquiao vs Marquez rubbermatch at 144 catchweight is easily a bs fight in favors pacquiao to win it easy. Pac knows that Marquez over 140 is a very slow fighter. Stop with the fight night weight. The weigh in a day before the fight is what really matters.
