Has anybody else noticed how everybody overrates Pacquaio's footwork? Don't get me wrong offensively he's ranked high, but DEFENSIVELY it's a liability, let me explain.

In my latest threads I asked the question how is Pacquaio gonna get away from Margo's punches, he's to small to clinch and will eat uppercuts, and his footwork on the defense sucks.

When Pac gets hit between exchanges, he tends to jump straight back usually of balance. So Margo presses the assault how is Pac gonna get away? A lot of people would say angles, but Pac rarely uses angles, look at the clottey fight if Pac was using angles he could of landed punches through the side of Clottey's gloves. I've seen it done Many times in the gym when a guy puts up his hand in the shell defense you go around the gloves, Paul Williams v Winky is a great example.

Pac gets away with jumping in off balance because his hand speed is so quick, but going backwards will be doom for him as he will be fighting the biggest pressure fighter in the game.

If clottey threw like 5 punches, and they did that to Manny's face, what do you think will happen when he steps in the ring with the man who holds the compu box record for punches thrown in a fight?

Everybody talks about how Manny has seen Pressure, and how Margo's defense is suspect, but Margo is starting to move his head more, and Margo's defense is actually his high punch rate, and Manny's defense is going straight back. The problem is when you go straight back with a pressure puncher who has the reach to catch you on your way out, you get hit.

Feel free to state your opinion no need for disrespect, lets just discuss like men.

Margo will stop Manny anywhere from rounds 6-10

At the least Margo beats Manny up and loses a decision (because we're in Dallas) and pac jumps down to the weight he should of been at.

Remember he is not fighting a walking vegetable that is 2 pounds under his normal weight, with a rookie trainer.

Margo doesn't have to be Margo of old to beat Manny.

    Get your excuses ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you bump me up after the fight so u can tell me I was right, this is the fight where science beats popularity.

That's probably the most idiotic 4-word title I've ever read on ESB. It's not easy to say something so stupid in 4 words, but sir, you just won a special permission to try do it in 3.

I'm impressed with Pacs footwork, and I think it's the fundamental key to his success.

I think people are jumping on the TS, But dude is just giving his opinion.
He ain't shitting on Pac's footwork just giving a different look.

Pacquiao is awkward which usually helps him out, He is a converted lefty so he tends to still fight somewhat ortho but in the southpaw stance... its kinda hard to explain.

    Anyway ... I can't wait for this.

Pacquiao's overall defense is underrated so it evens out.

Who says anything about the poster being a floyd fan? And conversely when somebody criticises Mayweather, why does that automatically make him a Pacquiao fan?

Does the legitimacy of an opinion solely rest on which fighter the poster is a fan of?

No offense, I'm not trying to instigate anything but there are alot of high and mighty people on ESB who are so full of their own "I am, like, the smartest boxing person, like, ever" that immediately bash a poster if they have an opinion on the two brightest stars in boxing.

While not every poster is able to break it down like a 25-years worth of boxing-training trainer, as long as he is serious he has a right to express an opinion. If you think he's a troll, or the topic is "not quite on your level of boxing expertise" why must you be so compelled to comment.....news flash: it's more efficient to hit the back button than type a message and hit "post reply."

If think that defensively, Pac's footwork is very underrated, and so is his guard. He creates distance very easily and although you can push him back with flurries, you'll rarely see Pac take a hard, flush shot. How many times did Cotto have Pac trapped against the ropes only for Pac to dip under and turn Cotto around? Plenty.

Not only that but if you leave yourself open when you put the pressure on Pac, you are liable to eat a big counter. So you've got to basically chase him down, cut off the angles, and cover up all at the same time.
