Can anybody tell me with accuracy, how much pacquiao would be expected to make after tax, hbo, arum, roach, and all that has been accounted for. Obviously not including speculation about his expenses such as entourage or paying koncz 20 million or buboy for cutting his steak. Say he gets paid 150 us million for this fight, after ppv receipts are collected. How much would he end up with actually in his account? Discussing this with a mate and I am saying not much after all is said and done.
The trainer takes 10% Bob Arum takes 27-30% (maybe even more) Manager 10% His share before tax will be somewhere around 50%. The tax authorities will probably take above 40% of that, which means his take-home share of the overall 100% is less than 30%. From a $100m purse, Pac will take around $30m. (that's not factoring in other expenses involved in the fight - sparring partners, conditioning coaches, dieticians, sanctioning fees etc)
Taxes should be much less than that, as the money is going to his promotional company as business earnings, not to him as personal income.
Arum is the promoter and gets 29% off the gross not the net. Think about that for a minute and you will understand why Oscar and Floyd left him. Oscar said in an interview years ago when he was with Arum he was only getting 300k for every million he made. So if his purse for a fight was 15mil he ended up with 4.5 million after paying Arum, taxes, expenses etc. No wonder he left that crook.
Do you work for a living? Regardless of the money going to top rank first they will still be liable for all necessary taxes as will the fighters. Some people are deluded on here. He will be taxed at the highest rate as his income is huge regardless of being Filipino or not. Pac and Floyd will be heavily taxed by the taxman regardless of anything.i work offshore in Norway right now and they tax me at 47% it's inavoidable in all countries. Taxman always gets his money if you don't pay him he takes your home
You do know Oscar now gets 30% from his GB fighters to right! All promoters pretty much get the same %...they have to put up alot of money for the events!
