what's wrong with having the upper hand in a fight? It's rampant in the boxing world of negotiations. Most if not all great boxers do it when they have the leverage.

OK you want to call him a coward and a cheat for taking these two catchweight fights and because of that he's not an ATG. Problem with that is lets throw out the win against Cotto and forget about a fight with Margo. He is still a title winner in 6 divisions a distinction he shares with ODLH only. And even if it wasn't for that say he only competed in 122-130 3 weight classes his record there would make him a great. Wins over MAB, Morales, Marquez as his marquee wins. He then has some other good comps there like Solis. Add in 122 and that probs him up further with wins against Lewdwaba and Lucero. So even if we neglect his entire campaign above 130 he is already arguably an ATG. But because he fought 1 fight at a catchweight and may fight another nope definitely a piece of ****. How could I have not seen it.

I gave an asterisk to Pacquiao's WW title but he successfully defended it at 147 so it's a legit title in my eyes now. I agree that the 154 title belt is a joke unless he defends it (if he wins) at the limit like he did WW.

Damn too bad if he had just waited like 2 days more for the fight then he could be considered great since they would be over a year apart but 1 day short. Well good thing Horus is here to show us the error of our ways. Pac is just fighting to much. Oh and another thing someone mentioned Pac losing speed if there was no catchweight. You do realize that weight is a maximum Pac could just choose to weigh under it so Pac would not be losing speed. At worse he would give up a power advantage but its not like Cotto adding 2 pounds would have given him the pop needed to take Pac out.

Faris Odeh (Arabic: فارس عودة‎, December 1985–November 9, 2000) was a Palestinian boy shot dead by the Israel Defense Forces near the Karni crossing in the Gaza Strip while throwing stones in the second month of the Al-Aqsa Intifada.

A picture of Odeh standing alone in front of a tank, with a stone in his hand and arm bent back to throw it, was taken by a photojournalist from the Associated Press on October 29, 2000. Ten days later, on November 9, Odeh was again throwing stones at Karni when he was shot in the neck by Israeli troops. The boy and the image subsequently assumed iconic status within the Palestinian territories as symbols of resistance to the area's occupation by Israel.[1]

story behind picture from Wikipedia = not IRAQ

super welterweight (148lbs to 154lbs limit) anything in between is within the limit not a catchweight - what your trying to say is an agreed upon weight

Pac is by no means a coward.:think

But he will definetely not get any credit by me or any other credible boxing fan. If Pac wanted to do it the right way and earn his keep, he
would have challenged Cotto at 147, and earn his title shot at a legitimate 154 championship belt.

Fighting for his first time at 154, at a catchweight, and against Margo who has done nothing himself to earn a title shot is disgraceful!!

I believe this to be more the work of his promotion team, and management but Pac definetely should take some action of his own and be held accountable for solidifying his own career.

At the end of the day, the fight against Margo is not a terrible matchup. Manny is at the stage in his career when no matter who he fights, it will not be good enough for all his critics or fans. Pac will be remembered as an ATG and 6 division champ. But coward, no.

This thread is simply a diversion to cover floyd's ass being the true coward here, and to put down an incredible performance of Manny being a true fighter that face up to any challenge in front of him.

Spinning results and even making a novel like presentation at that, shows what the TS is really trying to grasps, IMO shows Manny's undeniable achievements.
