You don't do it for a title eliminator. How do you fight for a vacant title at a weight not at that weight? WTF? :huh

If you seriously think Floyd or any other proffesional boxer is a coward than you have neither no respect or knowledge of the sport.

Yeah it sucks that the fight has not been made yet, but when it does, they will make sure the build up makes it the biggest fight in boxing history. This is boxing politics at its finest.

Can you please enlighten me about a rule that is a different as far as weights, like catchweights for title and non-title bout.

I believe as long as you're within the limits it applies to both.

And some of you would criticize him if he beat vitalli. "Oh he's old" blah blah blah. The guy even without Cotto or Margo would be a titlits in 6 different weight classes. How can you not be impressed by that?

Well it's just a question of semantics as started by the TS.

And frankly it is what it is.

    Manny Pacquiao is a coward.

Drained Oscar. I don't know how anyone gets credit for beating a man that had IVs in his arm 5 minutes before his ring walk.

He destroyed Hatton who was coming off a devastating loss, followed by a questionable and lackluster win.

He hand picked Diaz who was far from the best in the division. Didn't defend. Just cherry picking.

Beat a shot and drained Cotto at a catchweight. Cotto was coming off a devastating loss, followed by a questionable win in a fight that served only to line up Pac's 7th title.

Next he was talking Yuri Foreman who was again, not the best in his division.

Then we had Clottey what many agree was a fixed fight.

Now we have a banned, attempted cheat in Margarito who also is coming off a devastating defeat followed by a lackluster win.

Manny is a coward. Plain and simple. If he beats Margo he is a paper champion. Nothing more.

Marg earned a shot in the eyes of the WBC. He won one of their international titles so he's been ranked in at least the top 5 of the WBC since his comeback fight.

And of course, it's Pacquiao. They love having their title on the biggest name possible.

But people need to stop being butthurt and saying it isn't Jr Mw since it isn't the limit. You're a jr MW at anything over 147 as long as you don't go over 154. JrMW is JrMW is JrMW.

    Oscar drained Oscar. Try again.
Who a lot of people thought Hatton would be too strong and bully Manny around. Before that loss to Floyd, he barely looked like he was going to survive at WW to begin with.
and Floyd's JrMW crown was defended against..who?
Nope, he beat Jennings before he fought Clottey and I highly doubt a shot fighter would have the nerve and determination to fight through a nasty cut for 9 rounds. Plus, Cotto was NOT drained. He may have been shell shocked but he moved on his toes and kept moving until the stoppage. Drained fighters can't keep moving like that, even if it's in retreat.
So? Fighters talk. He also said Yuri was too tall and now he's fighting someone just as tall and, inserts or not, probably hits a hell of a lot harder.
Yep. ESB's Forum has it's fingers on the pulse of the boxing world. There's your many.
Yup. Got his ass kicked by Mosley. Can't deny that. But he won enough to the WBC (crooked as ****, yea) that he was placed in their top 5 at Jr MW.
Either belts mean something, or they don't. The WBC decided to offer up their title to the number 1/2 rated p4p fighter in the world and a guy they deemed worth of a title shot since he's the international champ, whatever the hell that means. Before the silver belt they just made came out, the international champ was usually going to get a title shot IE: Manny when he was international SFW champ. You complain as if boxing is under one sanctioning body, but it isn't. This is the WBC's decision.
